Since the end of 2008 my HairBoutique Marketing Guru, also known as Edan, and I discussed taking HairBoutique on the road.

We wanted to visit many of our HairBoutique.com friends all over the country ala Oprah style.  Unfortunately, the day to day demands of running HairBoutique.com made it challenging to figure out when we could hit the road.

Luckily, a special project I am working on with a Los Angeles based hair and beauty expert required me to fly to LA for one week to get some face time with the expert.  Since I was already scheduled to be in LaLa Land, it was a perfect opportunity for Edan to be here and meet with all our HairBoutique friends and business associates.

We literally took off from DFW headed for Burbank completely loaded down with video cameras, Flips, voice recorders, digital cameras and notebooks.  We are truly a traveling digital show. (more…)

If you are a fan of The Hills, as I am, you probably love to hate Spencer.  You may or may not hate Heidi but that doesn’t really matter because she’s part of the Spidey team of Spencer + Heidi.

If you do catch episodes of The Hills you know that Spencer and Heidi love to eat at Don Antonio’s Mexican Restaurant on 11755 West Pico Boulevard in Los Angeles.

Since I am in Beverly Hills all week on business, and my marketing guru is also here on separate business, we decided to convene on Sunday evening (Last night) and head for the famous Spikey hangout.  No, we didn’t really expect to see the dynamic blonde duo because they actually had gotten married for the second time the day before.  However, we did want to experience the awesome food that Spencer raves about.

We were not disappointed.  Keep in mind that the HairBoutique Marketing Guru is Hispanic by birth (part Spanish and Italian).  Her grandmommy is a fabulous cook of Hispanic dishes and has been known to feed the squirredl in the neightborhood with handmade lawn enchiladas (no, I am not kidding).  I also have been in Dallas for close to 25 years now and have a finely tuned TexMex, MexMex and pure Mexican set of tastebuds.  (more…)

The blonde reality couple the world loves to hate appeared on Jay Leno on February 9th.  Heidi looked stunning in a short silver spangled gown with high heels and her very blonde hair worn long, lush and with large soft curls and waves.  Spencer had on a cream collared shirt, cream colored jacket (sports coat) and dark slacks.

Jay started off the interview by telling the couple he “had not seen the show.” He asked Heidi what the show was about.  Heidi explained “it’s a reality TV show based on several people’s lives in Hollywood.  It’s about lots of drama.”  (more…)

When it comes to selecting your sizzling New Year’s Eve Party Hairdo, start with your goals for the evening. Do you want to look hot for your current honey to knock their socks off or do you want to attract a new honey for the new year?

If you want to look sizzling hot but be able to have fun at the same time, select a party do which is similar to your normal style, just crank it up a little bit.

A good hair day can turn bad in an instant with all the party fun. Why not select a sassy hairstyle with attitude that can hold it’s own in any crowd?
