Simple DIY Masks To Fight Wrinkles And Fine Lines

Wednesday, January 26th, 2011

Mask #1

This mask is designed to soften facial and neck lines.  Cleanse your face with a pure natural oil,  such as almond, sesame or olive. Rinse well with lukewarm water and pat dry. If you prefer, you can use your favorite facial cleanser.

Simple DIY Masks To Fight Wrinkles And Fine LinesInstructions

Prick a Vitamin E gel cap with a pin to open.  Squeeze the contents of the Vitamin E gel into a clean bowl or cup.  Use a fork to mix the Vitamin E gel with the yolk of an egg.  If possible, use an organic or free range egg.   Use clean fingertips, cotton swabs or balls to apply to the face.  Be sure to avoid the mouth in order not to swallow any of the raw egg mixture.  Also, be sure to wash your fingers with hot water and soap after you have applied the mask.

Apply to the face, especially on the lines around the eyes and any facial laugh lines.  You can also apply the mask to any lines on the neck.  Leave the mask on for at least 15 minutes.  Rinse with warm water.  Pat dry with a clean soft towel.

Do this once a week for several weeks to see a change.

Mask #2

This mask is designed to smooth out fine lines.  Before you start clean face with lukewarm water and the oil of your choice.  If you prefer, you can use your favorite facial cleanser.

Instructions

Dip 2-4 all natural chamomile tea bags (available at health food stores or online) in filtered or bottled boiling water.  Make the tea just as you would as if you were going to drink it.  Allow the tea bags to cool and then squeeze out excess water.

Simple DIY Masks To Fight Wrinkles And Fine LinesLie down and apply the cooled tea bags to the eye area.  You may wish to lay a clean towel on your face to catch excess drips.   Allow the tea bags to remain on eyes for 30 to 60 minutes.

Mask #3

Cleanse your face with a pure natural oil,  such as almond, sesame or olive to remove any dirt or grim. Rinse well with lukewarm water and pat dry.

Instructions

Grate a medium raw potato and mix it with two tablespoons of sour cream.  Apply as a mask, leave on for 20 minutes.  Wash off with cool water.  Do this once a week for very best results.

Discovering Crème au Diamant by Gemology At Cosmoprof 2009

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

Discovering Crème au Diamant by Gemology At Cosmoprof 2009One of the greatest benefits of attending any of the Comsoprof Shows is the opportunity to learn about the latest product innovations for hair, skin, nails, body and beauty.

As I walked through the many exhibits at the recent 2009 Cosmoprof (held in Las Vegas, Nevada) many fabulous new and revamped products caught my eye.

Of course I am also fascinated by the various International products the US media might not know as much about.

Crème au Diamant by Gemoloy was one such European company with a fabulous product I was not acquainted with.

This amazing product naturally preserves and protects skin from the damaging effects of the environment while providing added strength from authentic diamond particle and orchid extract.  Continue reading “Discovering Crème au Diamant by Gemology At Cosmoprof 2009” »

A Bowl Of Oats For Your Face

Saturday, April 18th, 2009

A Bowl Of Oats For Your FaceA long known secret of home made facials is to combine traditional cooked oatmeal with a little bit of warm cream, milk or water and make it into a mask.

While the mask might be a bit on the gloopy side, the good news is that you can also eat the leftovers.  Besides offering softening benefits, the oatmeal can also produce skin tightening results after long term use.

(Image of Aubry Organics Oumessence Lift – DailyCeleb.com – All Rights Reserved).

Aubrey Organics has their own version of cooked oatmeal in a bowl for your skin.  The difference between the real oats and Aubrey Organic’s Lumessence Lift skin product is that it can be used as a daytime or nighttime moisturer.  Or you can wear it around the clock if you wish.

It is not a face mask.  The product combines antioxidant CoQ10 with oat proteins and algae which has collagen boosting benefits. Continue reading “A Bowl Of Oats For Your Face” »

Beautiful Hair & Skin In 2009 – Acai Berry Ingredients

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

Beautiful Hair & Skin In 2009 Acai Berry Ingredients The Acai ( ah-sigh-EE ) Berry has become a superstar in the skin world, in the past few years, due to the buzz generated when the famous skin doctor – Dr. Perricone – deemed it to be the #1 Skin Food in the world.

The Acai Berry received superstar status in the skin doctors book, “The Perricone Promise”.

It also made it to Oprah’s list, which of course sealed its reputation as a wonder food.

This little dark purple berry, which is about the size of a traditional blueberry (also great for skin and beauty) is not readily accessible in berry form, to anyone who doesn’t actually live in the The Amazon Rainforest in Brazil, where the little fruit grows.

Although it is called a berry, the Acai is mostly seed with just a little bit of pulp.  The Acai is valued for both the pulp and the seed but the seed is never eaten or ground up.  Continue reading “Beautiful Hair & Skin In 2009 – Acai Berry Ingredients” »

New Product: La Prairies Advanced Marine Biology CollectionSince the movie Splash in 1984, the ocean’s appeal has gone from blah, to beautiful, to down right sexy. From animated motion pictures (Finding Nemo) to a slew of reality TV shows; the beach, the water, and the mysterious deep having been experiencing decades of revitalized interest. Although scientists have been studying this magical wonder for eons, La Prairie has been one of the first to successfully capture its beautifying properties on such a large scale.
