Jenna Elfman who is best known for her role as Dharma of TV’s odd couple - Dharma and Greg - is back with a sitcom that reminds me a little bit of the popular film Knocked Up starring Katherine Heigl.

The premise behind Knocked Up was that a beautiful blonde TV reporter has a one night stand with a younger irresponsible young man and she gets pregnant.  When the young man finds out the beautiful blonde TV reporter is pregnant, he decides to stick around and be with her during the pregnancy.

The new sitcom is called Accidentally On Purpose and Jenna plays Billie, a film critic in San Francisco who has a brief fling with a younger man and winds up pregnant.  Of course everyone knows that an older woman who has a thing with a younger man is known as a cougar. (more…)

Since the end of 2008 my HairBoutique Marketing Guru, also known as Edan, and I discussed taking HairBoutique on the road.

We wanted to visit many of our HairBoutique.com friends all over the country ala Oprah style.  Unfortunately, the day to day demands of running HairBoutique.com made it challenging to figure out when we could hit the road.

Luckily, a special project I am working on with a Los Angeles based hair and beauty expert required me to fly to LA for one week to get some face time with the expert.  Since I was already scheduled to be in LaLa Land, it was a perfect opportunity for Edan to be here and meet with all our HairBoutique friends and business associates.

We literally took off from DFW headed for Burbank completely loaded down with video cameras, Flips, voice recorders, digital cameras and notebooks.  We are truly a traveling digital show. (more…)

I have always loved Brittany Murphy from the first time I saw her on the classic movie ‘Clueless’ with Alicia Silverstone back in 1995.  Brittany has had a controversial career which has soared to the very heights and then stalled a few years ago.

Brittany is back on the talk show circuit.  She recently appeared on Late Night With Craig Ferguson and today she was on The Bonnie Hunt Show (April 8, 2009) appearing with her dog.  Recently she told the media she doesn’t pay any attention to comments about her on the Web on Gossip Sites.

Brittany With Very Long Hair

I was surprised when I saw Brittany on both Craig and Bonnie because she had extremely long and very wavy (borderline nappy to be fair) hair.

It’s almost as if she was working on developing a form of dreadlocks?  I could decide if Brittany was wearing semi-permanent extensions that she was deliberately tangling or if it was just a new hairstyle she was trying out. (more…)

Us Magazine has confirmed that the much hoped for sequel of Sex And The City (SATC) will be released on May 28, 2010, almost two years from the date of the release of the original film on May 30, 2008.

Producers of SATC Part 2 are hoping to meet or beat the whopping $412 million dollars the first film earned for its worldwide release.

Ironically, many believed the first film might not capture an audience due to the time lag from the ending of the series.  However, the movie not only thrilled long time SATC fans, it won new fans in younger and male categories who previously had not watched the series.  Some believe the second SATC movie might do even better than the first.

One concern about the first and second SATC movies has been whether all the women would appear.  It was widely reported that Kim Cattrall held up the filming of the first SATC movie due to salary and other demands.  This time, as reported by US Weekly, all the women will again be reprising their roles.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis are all onboard.  Whether their various men and children will appear is still not released. (more…)

Sarah Jessica Parker or SJP, as she is affectionally called by the media, is a prime example of of George Herbert’s famous quote which is “living well is the best revenge.”

The ultimate glamazon who ushered high fashion into the mainstream during her reign as Carrie Bradshaw on the famous Sex And The City (SATC) series, has definitely paid her dues in every area of her life.

To an unaware outsider Sarah Jessica’s charmed life might appear to be the result of good genes, timing and good fortune.  But this is definitely not the case.  And not by a long stretch.

The naturally curly haired actress, fashion icon and savvy business woman has endured years of poverty (her early life), being considered the ugly duckling with a strong female nerd side and lots of hounding by the papparrazzi.  She has also been the subject of untrue and unkind rumors about her personal life, working relationships on SATC and her marriage.  She was also labeled as “unsexy” by Maxim Magazine which she found “hurtful”.
