Sarah Jessica Parker or SJP, as she is affectionally called by the media, is a prime example of of George Herbert’s famous quote which is “living well is the best revenge.”

The ultimate glamazon who ushered high fashion into the mainstream during her reign as Carrie Bradshaw on the famous Sex And The City (SATC) series, has definitely paid her dues in every area of her life.

To an unaware outsider Sarah Jessica’s charmed life might appear to be the result of good genes, timing and good fortune.  But this is definitely not the case.  And not by a long stretch.

The naturally curly haired actress, fashion icon and savvy business woman has endured years of poverty (her early life), being considered the ugly duckling with a strong female nerd side and lots of hounding by the papparrazzi.  She has also been the subject of untrue and unkind rumors about her personal life, working relationships on SATC and her marriage.  She was also labeled as “unsexy” by Maxim Magazine which she found “hurtful”.

Whether I have a form of ADD or am just obsessed with maximum multi-tasking, I never seem to focus my entire attention on one thing at a time.  Which can be a good/bad thing depending on a variety of factors.

Such is the case with Sex And The City (SATC).  Not the movie but the series.  When I recently joined the thongs pouring into the theaters (a few months ago) for the much anticipated movie, I realized I couldn’t remember a lot of the individaul episodes from the SATC series which lasted for 6 1/2 seasons.

I promised myself I would stop, go back and watch all of the SATC episodes from beginning to end.  With that ambitious quest in mind I recently stopped by a half price video store in North Texas and hit the DVD lottery.  They happened to be having a big sale and I was able to score seasons 1,3,4,5 and 6 for more than 60% off the original price of each season.  I already had Season 2 of SATC which I received as a past Christmas gift from my best friend Jeff Hines. The perpetually blonde and beautiful Kate Hudson has hit the promotional trail for the new hair care line developed with her celebrity hairdresser David Babaii.

While Kate is busy selling WildAid, she is also creating a buzz for her recent romantic sightings with Lance Armstrong while word that her relationship with bad boy Owen Wilson is kaput…for the second time.

When pressed about her new relationship with Lance the bubbly actress told Ryan Seacrest “talking about a relationship only causes more problems and more words taken out of context. Everything is always misconstrued”.

Yes, you read that correctly. In the opening weekend the Sex And The City girls rocked the box office coming at 55 Million+. All right! Woman Power rules.

Ironically, the $$$$ even blew away all the expectations of the film’s producers who were hoping for 30 Million.

Spoiler Alert - If you haven’t seem the movie yet…you may not want to read any futher…although I promise to try and keep any spoiler to a minimum.

Yes, I was there. One of the hordes of women sprinkled with a few men, who showed up for the very first showing of the SATC movie. The first time available was 10:15 and there I was waiting patiently in line to buy my ticket at 10:00 am sharp.

By 10:10 I was in the very packed theater (Friday at 10:00 am and the theater is packed? Can you only imagine as the day goes on what the crowds will be like?) waiting patiently for sooooooo many previews to finish playing.
