DIY Home Whitening Tips And Tricks

Almost two years ago I gave up coffee and red wine, but I still can’t seem to kick my love of iced tea.  I live in Texas where iced tea is served by the gallon and it’s the best tea ever.

Unfortunately, tea can stain teeth.  As a result I’m aways looking for some DIY tips on how to get my teeth as white as possible without shelling out some big bucks for professional whitening.

One popular inexpensive teeth whitening trick is to combine ordinary baking soda with strawberries which combined to form a malic acid which removed surface discoloration.

While this is a very inexpensive way to brighten teeth, dentists warn that if done too often the acid could permanent damage the enamel on your teeth. (more…)

After the Episode 8 Short Cut Challenge when it was announced Jon won (kudos for a great Afro with bangs to Jon) Janine was asked by Camila to speak her mind about her feelings.

Janine told Camila and guest judge Linda Wells, Editor In Chief of Allure Magazine and Celebrity Stylist Mark Townsend her true feelings about the competition they just went through.

Janine said to Camila “it’s frustrating, because it is a competition.  And then (Brig, she’s like) ‘ha ha ha, I don’t care.  It cheapened it.  It’s just annoying cause I do care. And I’m doing business.  And it’s not cute, it’s not funny.  It’s like, just shut up and work.”

Brig “I apologize Janine if I’m not as talented as you but I’m doing my best.”  Janine “I never said that, I said….”  Brig cut her off “And I respect everyone who’s here and I’m trying to…” Janine said “you’re like in LaLa Land.  Like there’s noooo…. It’s like you’re talking to a wall.” (more…)

Yes – I know – I am beautiful…

Well let’s put it this way: with the right lighting, some good make-up, a good stylist, and an excellent photographer – I am beautiful. Needless to say, I haven’t been a part of any random photo shoots since that time at the Dallas Arboretum (long story)….and that one time after my cousin’s wedding (another long story) … and that one time in Cancun, but you get my drift.

So there I was, excitedly rushing off to meet one of my ”rather hot guy friends” for dinner, and into the elevator I walk…
