Henry Amador Salon Has Become Salon Mantra

Henry has joined forces with Joel Batten and Sofia Navarro in a new hair project called Mantra.

Mantra, who’s literal definition is “a sound, syllable, word or group of words that are considered capable of creating transformation” is a perfect space for Henry, his partners and team to continue to inspire, create and transform the shape of the hair industry.

“Removing my name from the top of the masthead was the logical and natural next step in the evolution of my life” say’s Henry. “The only way to free myself up somewhat to pursue other projects was to balance the salon differently.”

Kim Raver has been co-starring in in the 2008 Fall season of NBC’s “Lipstick Jungle,”.

Kim portrays “Nico Reilly,” the editor-in-chief of the hot fashion magazine “Bonfire.”

Kim has told the media she “enjoyed filming Lipstick in New York” where she grew up.

The former 24 co-star noted how much she likes the fact the show is “about women and their relationships”.

Unfortunately it was announced this week that Lipstick has been canceled due to lackluster ratings.

Kim’s co-star Brooke Shields has told the media that she believes NBC will find a way to save the show. It’s hard to say if that will really be the case. At this point it is fair to say the show is in limbo although many industry watchers believe it’s over.

Ironically fiction has imitated real life with regards to Kim and character’s fashion magazine – Bonfire.

Jasper’s has been chosen by Nation’s Restaurant News, a leading restaurant industry trade publication, as one of this year’s Hot Concept! Honorees.

Thank goodness I have this Rant Section of my blog to help be blow off some steam. After all, in Japan where the workers literally drop dead from overwork and stress – I need something to help me release frustrations because my treadmill (which helps but is not always available for me when I’m at Starbucks) doesn’t fit in my small car.

The cause of my current rant? It happened again. My work was published without credit to me. No, I can’t say what publication because that would be so rude and of course my editor would hate me forever.

But I feel used and abused and totally picked on. Yes, I’m a full grown adult CEO who is supposed to roll with the punches and I roll so much that I often have lint all over my suit coats. BUT mess with my creativity and I crumble like the top of an Oreo cookie that isn’t perfectly lifted off the icing.
