Last year’s sleeper hit, “Tabatha’s Salon Takeover,” returns for a second season featuring the forthright and smartly styled Tabatha Coffey as she transforms the lives and businesses of salon owners in the Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami areas.

The new season of Bravo’s “Tabatha’s Salon Takeover,” premieres Tuesday, November 3 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

With the economy contributing to the dire situations of fledgling small business owners nationwide, Tabatha hits the metropolitan cities of Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami to work with ten different beauty salons literally about to go under.

For one week, she confiscates the keys to the establishments and takes over as boss, bringing her no-nonsense approach to these salon owners and stylists in dire need of her skilled business direction.

I find Robert, or Robair to his friends, so incredibly fascinating I can’t stop covering his life which is truly like living in a reality show. Yes, I have written volumes about many many other famous hairdressers, but I still keep circling back to Robert on a constant basis.

Of course I understand their concerns.  One misquoted comment could destroy an up and coming hair, make-up or fashion styling in an instant.   They could be drummed out of Hollywood forever.

Robert named his hair company The Kitchen Beautician because he so often ends up working in the kitchens of his celebrity clients’ homes, sometimes using ingredients out of their cabinets.

I have had the pleasure of hanging out in Robert’s famous kitchen on more than one occasion and for hours on end while his beloved pets - Ava the dog and her two cat siblings, Precious and Sweetpea, wander through towards the outdoors set in the amazing patio/deck built high into the hills of LA. The salon was originally established in 2001, in the heart of the fashionable West Third Street / Fairfax District in Los Angeles.

Award winning Jennifer Hudson is expected to perform at the Michael Jackson memorial on Tuesday, July 7th in Los Angeles.

Her performance was reported today by CNN who will broadcast the service.  CNN has announced that the memorial service will include Anderson Cooper, Larry King and Don Lemon as the anchors.

It is especially significant that Jennifer will exercise her famous vocal pipes at the King Of Pop’s memorial service since she recently experienced her own family loss.

It has been indicated that Jennifer’s presence at the memorial, besides singing, is to offer comfort and support to the Jackson family and fans in light of her own recent loss. Reports of her performance have not included any specific songs she will sing. (more…)

The third season of Bravo’s hit series “Flipping Out” returns with everyone’s favorite obsessive-compulsive house-flipper, Jeff Lewis.

The economy has taken its toll on his business, but if anyone can figure out a way to flip things around and go from chaos to clarity, it’s Lewis, one of Los Angeles’ most colorful creative renovators and real estate speculators.

Jeff Lewis makes his living with the help of a group of diverse and often disgruntled employees he counts as friends.

These include his incredibly patient assistant Jenni Pulos, who still dreams of making it as an actress, despite seven years at Jeff’s side, his beloved housekeeper Zoila, newly empowered and suddenly more flirtatious and feisty, and his business partner and former boyfriend, Ryan Brown. (more…)
