Diana Nyad Ends 3rd Attempt On Cuba To Florida Swim

Ultimately it wasn’t sharks which sank Diana Nyad’s 3rd attempt to swim 103 miles from Cuba to Florida.  It was Man-of-War stings.

Diana was stung along both arms of the side of her body and her face on Saturday.  After being treated by physicians, changing suits and re-hydrating she decided to continue with the journey.

Ultimately the 62 year old long distance swimmer decided to end her journey this morning (Sunday – September 25, 2011) after more than 40 hours and 67 nautical miles of swimming.  The endurance swimmer from Los Angeles began the estimated 60-hour journey on Friday night.

The swimmer’s assistants have been updating her journey on twitter account and her website.  Ultimately Nyad called out to her flotilla of four escort boats this morning to let them know she wanted to stop the journey.

Nyad said “The medical team said I should not go another two nights in the water and risk additional likely Man-of-War stings which could have a long term cumulative effect on my body. But for each of us, isn’t life about determining your own finish line? This journey has always been about reaching your own other shore no matter what it is, and that dream continues.”

Before beginning the swim this round, Nyad said, “I’m prepared and even saying that though, how many times do you get to do something of this big an adventure? You know, how many times do you get to feel this alive? This awake and alive?”

Nyad hoped to break her own world record for open-water swimming without a shark cage.   If she had completed the swim, she would have broken her 1979 record, when she swam 102.5 miles from the Bahamas to Florida.  Her second attempt failed in August of this year due to an asthma attack.

Scott Speedman’s Grizzly Adoration Hair

In May of 2009 Scott told People Magazine that he decided to the go the “grizzly route” which his hair.  He also grew a beard which also looked a tad on the scraggly side.

When asked by People why he was looking “pretty grizzly” Scott said “I thought it worked really well for the (Adoration) character, since he’s such an isolated and depressed guy.  But when I’m not working, I stop shaving and let it go.  That’s generally how I look.”

Scott who lives in LA told People he loves it in Tinsel Town.  He also said “But, I mean, nobody likes the traffic.  And the desperation in the air can get to be a bit much at times.”

Scott doesn’t have desperation in his own air space.  Fast forward to July of 2011 and Scott’s life has completely changed since his scruffy days back in 2009.

Now the actor who is wearing his head much shorter and layered.  He’s also staying close to beautiful Aussie girlfriend Teresa Palmer.

The two were spotted at the Kings of Leon after-party hosted by British fashion brand AllSaints held at Jackalope Ranch on Friday (April 15) in Indio, Calif.  Scott, 36, and Teresa, 25, have only been dating for a few months.

The beautiful actress was featured in the film “I Am Number 4.”   Scott, is best known for his work as Ben Covington on the long-running series Felicity.

Scott looks shockingly different with his hair cut shorter and tousled versus long, wavy and shaggy.  Which look do you like best on Scott?

So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD) judge Cat Deeley is famous for her below-the-shoulders long golden blonde hair which she’s told the media is “naturally wavy thick hair.”

Cat was in the news this weekend for her attendance at a dinner for the royal newlyweds, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (Kate and William) hosted by Bafta in honor of young British talent in Los Angeles.

Cat was full of pride about the British Royals.  She told the media “Kate has brought a whole level of attainability. It’s very aspirational but she will wear clothes from the high street, shake people’s hands, be easy with her smiles, flip pancakes and chat to people. On May 26th Us Weekly reported that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are fond of “simple and non-fussy” Red Carpet hairstyles.    Not only are they fond of a more casual hair style, they like to get their tresses coiffed together.   Actually, this isn’t all that unusual for celebrity couples who need to be cautious about the people they let into their inner circles.

Angie and Brad put on their finest for a stroll down the Red Carpet for the premiere of Brad’s latest new film “The Tree of Life.”  According to insiders, Brad and Angie turned to Adam Campbell of the famed Prive Salon on Beverly in Los Angeles.

The glam duo supposedly told Campbell they wanted easy California chic hair for the Red Carpet.

Campell used Prive products such as Root Amplifier to amp up Angie’s roots, giving her lush volume and making her hair hold the set he created with a curling iron on 1″ sections.  With a spritz of hairspray the famous brunette was ready to wow the crowds at the movie premiere.

Brad opted for a tousled un-kempt look which Campbell created with his fingers and a dash of Prive’s pre-warmed Extended Texture clay.  Basically Campbell finger picked and raked the clay through the star’s tresses.

The inside source who reported on Angie and Brad’s visit to Prive noted that Brad is very much into a casual wash and wear look.

When you’re a movie star as big as Angie and Brad there’s really no set rules about how they wear their hair – Red Carpet or not.

As reported by JustJared.com, Easy A red haired actress Emma Stone was spotted Sunday, March13th in Los Angeles walking around the set of her new drama, The Help, with a head full of bouncy light blonde ringlets and curls.  Some on-set hairstylist was obviously busy with a curly iron.

The 22-year-old actress plays Eugenia “Skeeter” Phelan in The Help, which centers around three women living in the South.  The three form an unlikely but deep friendship.

The actress is back in the States after spending time in France for Paris Fashion Week.

Emma sat in the front row for the Louis Vuitton Ready to Wear show, which actor Alex Pettyfer also attended. Their appearance together generated buzz that the two may be dating now that Pettyfer has parted ways with Glee’s beautiful blonde Dianna Agron.

They seemed very cozy and flirtatious at the Vuitton show which created speculation that Pettyfer is over Agron.  The actress, who is also set to appear as Mary Jane in Spiderman, rested her arm against his shoulder as they hung out together.

At least now we know why the gorgeous redhead went with a very blonde hue.  It’s for her part as Skeeter.  Also, the curls she was spotted with on set were created for her because her natural hair appears to be relatively straight with just a hint of wave.

Personally I like her best as a redhead, but as an actress she has to take on all types of hairstyles, colors and cuts for her craft.
