Colorist To Stars Rita Hazan Celebrity Clients

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

When you talk about Celebrity Hair colorist Rita Hazan it’s probably more appropriate to talk about what stars have not had their hair colored by Rita Hazan.  The list of her celebrity clients consists of 132 names on her website ranging from 50 Cent to Winona Ryder, if you’re looking at the list from an alphabetical ranking.

Including both famous men and women, some of the names are definitely worthy of creating an eye popping, mouth dropping reaction.

Amanda Bynes is on the list and so it Ashley Olsen, Ashlee Simpson and beautiful brunette beauty Ashley Judd.  There is also Christie Baranski who is currently spectacular on TV’s “The Good Wife” starring Julianna Marguiles as well as supermodels Christie Brinkley and Christy Turlington.

Showing a major contrast of ages and perspectives, Avril Lavigne is on Rita’s client list along with famous TV woman Barbara Walters.

Calista Flockhart currently starring in TV’s “Brothers And Sisters” is listed along with Candice Bergen, Carmen Electra and Cindy Lauper.  Debra Messing is there along with Elisabeth Rohn, Elizabeth Berkley and Elizabeth Hurley.

Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo is there along with Eva Longoria and the adorable Eve. Goldie Hawn and Gwyneth Paltrow are part of Rita’s celeb clientele along with Halle Berry, Heidi Klum and Hugh Grant.  Be still my heart.  I adore Hugh and never miss any of his films.  No wonder his hair always looks amazing.

Newylwed Ivanka Trump is listed.  I wonder if Rita did her hair for her recent nuptials.  Regardless, her blonde tresses are always impeccable on The Celebrity Apprentice. Jamie Lynn Sigler who is currently a brunette on Ugly Betty is present along with “y Name Is Earl’s Jaime Pressly who is also a long term friend of Rita’s as well as a client.

Jennifer Aniston is on the list with Jennifer Connelly, Jennifer Espositio and Jennifer Lopez who goes way back with Rita to a previous celebrity salon, which shall remain nameless.

Of course Jessica Biel is on the list as well as Jessica Simpson whose sister Ashlee and mom both frequented Rita’s salon as did her ex Nick Lachey.  Tucked into the list is Joan Rivers and Jon Bon Jovi with rocker babe Joss Stone and actress Julia Stiles.  The Kate’s on the list include Kate Beckinsale who is always perfection as well as supermodel and perpetual bad girl Kate Moss.

Sex And The City star Kim Cattrall who is always beyond sexy is on the client list as well as funny lady Leah Remini.  Mariah Carey and Martha Stewart are included as is Mary Kate Olsen, joining her famous twin.

Brooklyn based Michelle Williams is noted as well as the late Natasha Richardson.  The true royalty on Rita’s client list includes Prince and Queen Noor of Jordan.  Renee Zellweger, Rosario Dawson and Rose McGowan have all appeared at one point in Rita’s chair as have Serena Williams, Shakira, Sharon Stone and Sigourney Weaver.  Financial whiz Suze Orman is included as is film maker Steven Spielberg, Taylor Swift, Tea Leoni, The Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, Tony Bennett, Venessa Marcel, Vanessa Redgrave and Vanessa Williams.

Although the list sounds amazingly glamourous, there’s no doubt Rita treated each celebrity client like she does all of her hair color clients and created spectacular results for each and every one of them.  There’s no doubt there’s probably a lot more celebrities not on Rita’s list because of privacy concerns or other reasons.

Ivanka Trump Was Disappointed In Jewelry Picks

Sunday, April 19th, 2009

The Celebrity Apprentice Task for Sunday, April 19, 2009 was to select pieces of jewelry from Ivanka Trump’s line and build a fashion show around the pieces.  Then they were required to put on an auction to raise the most money for charity.  The key to winning or losing was tied to selecting va-va-voom pieces.

Unfortunately the person Team Leader Joan put in charge of selecting the jewelry for the KOTU’s auction was professional golfer Natalie Gulbis.  When Natalie Gulbis went to view Ivanka Trump’s jewelry line she did not do a good job at selecting the pieces for the auction.

Instead of selecting big pieces that could easily be seen even in the back of the hall where the fashion show/auction held Natalie picked very small pieces.

Although Joan, who is a jewelry expert, was not pleased with Natalie’s selections, she defended her and said “she did the best she could and in general Natalie has great style.”

Unfortunately selecting jewelry that gives the impression of being pricey and shows well is very different from very small items which tend to not translate as well in a show. (more…)

Ivanka Trump - Blonde, Beautiful, Brainy & Into Fashion

Saturday, August 2nd, 2008

Ivanka Trump - Blonde, Beautiful, Brainy & Into FashionCould you ask for anything more?  The beautiful blonde Ivanka appears on the cover of the July issue of Town & Country magazine.

Does she look stunning?  Of course.  Is she wildly successful?  Another big affirmative.

(Image of Ivanka Trump - NBC All Star Gala - 01-17-08 - DailyCeleb.com - all rights reserved).

Ironically, today, as I was schlepping uptown on Madison Avenue (in New York City) I trudged past the stunningly beautiful Ivanka Trump boutique.  I didn’t stop because my puny Dallas, Texas (never walk anywhere) legs were giving out, it was about to rain for the second time and I knew that her prices were out of my league.

You may think Ivanka Trump is a spoiled rotten brat who was handed everything on a Donald Trump signature platter.  Actually, nothing could be further from the truth.  Yes of course having The Donald as her dad has helped open doors, but ultimately, Ivanka, has made her own success.

In a surprisingly informative article, written by Kristina Stewart Ward, in Town & County (T&C), Ivanka shared her vulnerabilities.  Although Ivanka grew up in The Donald’s real estate empire, her father did not hand her the keys to the castle.  She had to earn them the hard way.  The beautiful blonde who stands “six feet three in heels” according to the article - Daddy’s Little Girl - explains that during the Marla Maples scandal in 1990 she was swarmed by the tabloid reporters and photographers hoping to get a soundbite from the then eight year old child.

Ivanka explained it was “difficult for her parents…not being able to control the flow of information to us” during that stressful time.  At that tender age the former-model-turned-real-estate-executive had to deal with the famous quote from Marla about The Donald which was “the Best Sex I Ever Had”.

The twenty-six year old Vice President of Real-Estate Development not only had to deal with throngs of paparazzi surrounding her very elite private school - Chapin - she had to read about the divorce of her beloved parents in the New York newspapers.

Ivanka, according to her friends, is a “nice person” whose “modesty and consideration for those around her, from family to collegeagues to household staff” is admirable.  She lives a very disciplined life rising before 6:00 am and walking to work, arriving by 7:00 am.

Ivanka does have an interesting lineage of friendships that span from her days at Chapin, Choate, Rosemary Hall, Georgetown and Penn’s Wharton School.  The interesting part is that she has a handful of “best friends” named Lindsay or Lindsey.  She claims to have other friendships with non-Lindsays, but it’s interesting to note her connection with females of that name.

Ivanka, for her cover shot, was photographed by John Huba, styled by Town & Country’s mega-talented Kim Dimmock and had her buttery blonde highlighted tresses styled in a series of soft yet sexy styles by Max Pinnell at Bumble and Bumble in New York.  Her makeup was done by Tina Turnbow and her maincure by Ana-Maria for Onyx Salon & Spa at artistsbytimothypriano.com.

Ivanka, which is a derivative of her mother’s name - Ivana - wore a stunning Missoni silk dress and her own rock-crystal necklace priced at $19,750.  For the Town & Country article she also donned a Valentino taffeta dress ($5,390) and an Ivanka Trump earrings ($12,000).  She also showcased Ivanka Trump enamel and diamond bracelets ($26,500 each).

Being blonde, beautiful and talented has its price.  Ivanka told T&S “the first time I walked a construction job I was petrified that one of the workers was going to make catcalls and I didn’t yet know how I would handle myself”.  The Donald’s daughter told T&C “I covered up - black suit, hair pulled back, that whole male-assimilation thing-to blend in a bit more.”  However, “once I finally realized I was good at what I do, it was much easier to present myself in a way that really reflects me.”

Ivanka shared her favorite things with Town & Country Magazine.  These include the following:

Her Dominant Closet Labels:
Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Prive, Christian Louboutin (python sling-backs - $1,095 available at chirstianlouboutin.com), Moschino, J. Mendel and Narciso Rodriquez.

Current handbag:
Armani purple crocodile day bag.

She Would Never Be Caught Dead In:
A crop top.

Favorite Floral Arrangement:
Classic white roses

Favorite New York Restaurant:
Supper (156 East 2nd Street)

For more on the gorgeous blonde, check out the July issue of Town & Country Magazine.  The only thing missing from this amazing article is details on how she gets her amazing hair highlights and buttery blonde looks.  But hey, this article, if you love Ivanka, will only make you a bigger fan.

Will her Ivanka Trump jewelry line take off?  No question.  This beauty has great fashion taste and all of her designs are mouth watering.

What’s next for Ivanka Trump? Whatever she wants.  As she told Town & Country, she’s not “off gallivanting through the South of France” because she’s too busy creating her own name and reputation.
