New Rosacea Tracking App For Smartphones

New Rosacea Tracking App For SmartphonesHow To Help Minimize Future Rosacea Flare Ups With Your Smartphone!
Summer = BBQs, Picnics, Soaring Temps, Humidity & Summer = Rosacea Flare Ups

If you have rosacea, you don’t need a calendar to remind you that the summer is a prime source of triggers for rosacea flare ups. From sun exposure to heat and humidity, summer can aggravate your rosacea throughout the day. When you factor in potential triggers such as spicy BBQ ribs, cool glasses of Sangria, even delicious soups like Gazpacho, you have a recipe for a less than enjoyable summer.

But, you don’t have to hide indoors. Now, there’s a way to help minimize your future flare ups and all it takes is your fingertips and a Smartphone. It’s called The Rosacea App and it can help simplify everything from how to handle the great outdoors to how to track the food triggers that may cause a flare up.

The Rosacea App is available free to anyone who has an iPhone, Blackberry or Android Smartphone. It offers daily Weather Alerts for wherever you are through the phone’s GPS. This is important information since rosacea can be affected by factors such as heat and humidity. Continue reading “New Rosacea Tracking App For Smartphones” »

Mitt Romney 2.0 Watched American Idol But Not The Voice

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

Mitt Romney 2.0 Watched American Idol But Not The VoiceRepublican presidential contender Mitt Romney will be announcing his official run for the presidency on Thursday.  I’ve always had a special interest in Mitt, not because of my political views, but because he was a friend of my brother-in-law (Gordon Thayer) who went to Cranbrook Schools with the famous Mormon.

My mother-in-law once told me of a time where Gordon and Mitt were hanging out and somehow there was a weird mishap where Gordon’s thumb landed in Mitt’s eye.  There were no hard feelings, it was an accident, but I always remember that story of Gordon and Mitt when I hear any news about the former governor.

I also love how Mitt is going gray gracefully.  He looks amazing with his hint of gray throughout the temples.

Now that he’s planning on making a second run for the presidency, Mitt Romney 2.0, the former CEO is trying to show the fun side of his personality.

Romney did an interesting interview with NBC’s “Today Show” where he revealed he watched Fox/TV’s American Idol and was rooting for Scotty, the ultimate winner.  He noted “Scotty (McCreery) winning, that was terrific,” Romney said. “That guy’s got talent.” Continue reading “Mitt Romney 2.0 Watched American Idol But Not The Voice” »

Companies That Force Employees To Use BlackBerries May Be Hurting Brand Loyatly

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

Companies That Force Employees To Use BlackBerries May Be Hurting Brand LoyatlySeptember 23, 2010 – Mountain View, CA – Companies that force employees to use BlackBerries may be indirectly hurting the brand by fomenting low user loyalty, according to the latest Crowd Science (http://www.crowdscience.com) study into smartphone brand loyalty.

Only 35% of survey respondents whose smartphone choices were foisted on them by corporate mandate said they were “very satisfied” with their brand, compared with about 60% of users who exercised at least some choice in their smartphone purchases.

BlackBerries were much more likely – in 2 out of 3 cases – to be the smartphone brand chosen by companies for their employees, the study found. About one-fifth (19%) of BlackBerry users had their phone chosen for them, compared with just 4% each of Android or iPhone users. In a related finding, Crowd Science found that one-third of BlackBerry owners use their phones mostly or only for business purposes, compared with just 20% of all smartphone users.

“Combine the low satisfaction levels of users of corporate-mandated smartphones with the fact that there is a high proportion of these among BlackBerry owners, and you’ve got a key factor in the low overall loyalty we’ve seen in BlackBerry users for the past year,” noted Sandra Marshall, Crowd Science VP of Research. Kevin Nealon’s Fund Raising For Friend Big Joe

Friday, February 12th, 2010

Kevin Nealons Fund Raising For Friend Big JoeFunny man Kevin Nealon (Weeds) was a guest on funny lady Bonnie Hunt’s daytime talk show.  As you can imagine, they were very funny together.

Although Kevin was joking around, his primary goal in appearing was to promote his current fund raising efforts on behalf of his long time friend, Big Joe Kenny ( Friends Of Big Joe) who has had serious medical challenges which Kevin and his friends are working to raise money for.

Bonnie and Kevin started their visit by talking about Kevin’s son Gable who just turned three years old.

Bonnie showed a photo of Kevin’s son who said he was “ready to go on tour” from the photo Bonnie had.  In the photo Kevin’s son was obviously crying, although he looked as cute as can be. Continue reading “Kevin Nealon’s Fund Raising For Friend Big Joe” »

High Tech Road Trip

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

I’m not sure if I’ve always been a high tech groupie or it just happened over time and I took it for granted. I do remember being shocked when Stevie Nicks recently reported in an interview with Chris Issak that she used an old typewriter to write songs and didn’t use email.  I can’t even imagine life without email, let alone blogging on a typewriter.  Can you even do that?

Maybe because in one of my prior episodes in this current lifetime I was in the software industry, working with PCs when they were virtually inaccessible to the masses. I also had one of the first Apple computers every made.  I still have it in fact. Continue reading “High Tech Road Trip” »
