Natural Hair Styles Texture Formation

Natural Hair Styles Texture Formation

Natural Hair Styles Texture FormationOne of the primary goals for anyone with naturally textured hair ranging from straight to naturally curly, wavy or coily is to manage it’s styling definition so that it has a beautiful natural form and flow. When it comes to natural hair styles there are no rules, no right or wrong ways to define natural texture.

Natural hair styles can be relaxed and playful for weekend wear.  They can honor cultural trends or be appropriate for corporate or professional environments.  Natural hair styles can also be sassy, sexy and tousled.  Or they can also be beautifully and elegant.

One popular styling technique utilized for creating natural hair styles is working with the natural flow and clumping patterns of curls, coils and waves to create beautiful elongated ringlets.    Natural hair styles embellished with ringlets are a perfect way to honor natural texture.

Ringlets can be created systematically on natural waves, curls and coils.  They can also be created on naturally straight strands.  Styling ringlets works around the concept of reshaping and gently controlling the formation of the hair’s natural profile. Hair May Cause Most Anxiety When Looking For Work

Hair May Cause Most Anxiety When Looking For Work

Hair May Cause Most Anxiety When Looking For WorkImage is everything when looking for work.  While it’s important to be neat and clean in your Sunday best, it’s also important  to put your best hair forward.

For some this can be stressful, especially is funds are tight and limit the ability to visit a professional hairstylist for sophisticated hairstyling treatments such as cut, color or styling.

The good news when it comes to your hair is that the smallest things can make the biggest difference.  Fortunately for the style-savvy there are many options to get a great hair cut, color or style for your job search at reasonable or budget prices.

As you prepare for your job search, evaluate your hair carefully.  Ask friends and family to give you their opinions and feedback as well.

If gray hair or obvious hair color root regrowth is not a pressing issue, focus your attention on getting your existing hair trimmed so that it appears neat and clean.

You don’t have to go with a completely new haircut and style before a job interview.  In fact, it’s may not be advised for you to take on a brand new hairstyle or look before interviewing since it may increase your anxiety.  Stick with a hairstyle which makes you feel confident and secure.  Just make sure it’s neatly trimmed and looks well-maintained. Jane Lynch Hated Her Permed Hair

Jane Lynch Hated Her Permed Hair Jane Lynch Hated Her Permed Hair

Jane Lynch is featured in the September 12th issue of People Magazine for her new memoir titled Happy Accidents.

Jane shares about her early life growing up in Dolton, Illinois where she was uncomfortable in her own skin and ashamed she was gay.  She told People Magazine “I was different from everyone we knew.  I wanted to fit.”

She told People’s Oliver Jones that “If I could go back in time and talk to my twenty-year-old self, the first thing I would say (to myself) is:  “Lose the perm.”

In light of her memoir where Jane shares how much she wanted to look like the quintessential sixties man, very Mad Men, it must have been torture to spot a permed hairstyle in the mirror.  No man would adopt a permed look without a lot of angst.

A perm is definitely a hair history that haunts many people.  Ellen Degeneres often shows a photo of herself in her younger years wearing a big permed hairstyle.

These days Jane is famous for her short, chic and sassy cropped blonde hairstyle.  It suits her personality perfectly.  I can only imagine how traumatic a perm would be for the Jane who we all know and love on Glee.

Hair Styling Is A Physically Demanding Job Which Requires Fitness And Safety

Hair Styling Is A Physically Demanding Job Which Requires Fitness And Safety

Hair Styling Is A Physically Demanding Job Which Requires Fitness And SafetyBeing a hair stylist is definitely a physically demanding job. The quality of their work as well as their long term health can directly depend on their physical strength and endurance.

In some hair establishments the stylists have a shampoo technican.  In other salons the stylist is responsible for doing all their own shampoos, and rinses.

It also means applying chemical treatments like perms, straighteners, relaxers or similar.  Stylists also paint on a wide range of hair colors and apply highlights and low lights by sectioning and folding foils.

Bent Over The Shampoo Bowl

That translates to spending a good portion of their day bent over at a shampoo bowl, giving their fingers an intense workout while being immersed in both hot and cold water as they rinse out chemicals, apply shampoo and finish with a range of rinse out conditioners or similar.

Hair stylists also spend a lot of time with their shoulders, arms and hands up in the air armed with blow dryers and a series of hot irons as they do blow outs and heat style hair.   All this washing, blowing, ironing, brushing and combing can put a lot of wear and tear on necks, shoulders and backs. Paula Abdul’s Gorgeous Hair Waves How To

Paula Abduls Gorgeous Hair Waves How ToWhether you love Paula Adbul or not, you have to admit the American X Factor Judge rocks some serious hairstyles.  Recently Paula has been photographed wearing her hair in long lush waves which showcases her stunning hair color.

Who’s the celebrity hairstyling talent behind the sassy X Factor star?  Marcia Hamilton.

When Hamilton recently created Paula’s gorgeous waves for the Fox All-Star Party held at Gladstones on Friday (August 5) in Pacific Palisades, CA she was happy to dish about how she styled Paula’s wavy hairstyle.

Hair Waves How To

Hamilton started by first shampooing Paula’s hair.  After rinsing she conditioned only the ends of the star’s hair.  She then prepped Paula’s hair with a volumizing leave-in product (spray or foam).

Marcia styled Paula’s hair by using a large round brush with a blow dryer to form the foundation of the waves.  She paid special to the scalp area, creating lush volume and lift right at the root area. Continue reading “Paula Abdul’s Gorgeous Hair Waves How To” »
