Ted Gibson, the stylist whom TLC filmed creating “Clean Slate Kate,” told RadarOnline.com that Gosselin’s cut would cost close to $7,000 at his salons in New York and Washington.  “My haircuts are $950,” he told the web site. “The color would have been about $500, and the extensions, which were Great Length extensions, would probably cost about $5000.”

Fashion Magazines Lose Substantial Ad Pages For Fall 2009 Issues According To AdAge

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

Reporting on a recent Advertising Age report, SmartBrief.com summarized today the news that the September issues of top fashion and beauty magazines have lost a substantial amount of advertising pages.

According to AdvertisingAge (7/21) at Conde Nast, Allure’s ads are down 52%, Self is off by 51% and Glamour by 42%. Hachette Filipacchi’s Elle has lost 21% of its ads versus last September and Hearst’s Harper’s Bazaar is off by 23% to 26%.

No word yet on the other players in the same arena but insiders have been talking about related struggles at Lucky Magazine as well.

This is definitely bad news for those publications since the September issues are usually bonazas of new fashion, beauty and hair related trends.  Even more importantly, the September issues, due out the first part of August, usually have the most pages of any of the issues for the year.
