Restock Fees - Reasons Why Companies Have Added Them

In business everything flows down to the bottom line.  Which means that there is a cost associated with everything.

While it used to be that the majority of companies would accept returns with no restock fees of any kind, the skyrocketing costs of returns forced many businesses to implement some sort of restock fees to help cover the costs.

Many customers do not understand restock fees.  They often think it is a company’s attempt to squeeze every last penny out of them. While this may be the case with some companies, most businesses are just trying to cover their expenses.

What expenses you ask?  Let me tell you.

Shipping - The Devil Is In The Details!

Shipping is the lifeblood of HairBoutique.com.  Without those daily UPS, USPS and DHL pickups we would be lost.

Of course I have learned that when you run a business, the devil is in the details.  It took us some time to figure out the very best possible shipping processes and procedures. We still constantly evaluate any new options and weigh the possibilities to offer our customers more cost effective shipping methods.

The shipping details that have to be addressed are beyond the realm of most people.  What details you might ask - well of course I am about to tell you.

Better Business Bureau Blackmail

Certainly if you’re in business, the title - Better Business Bureau Blackmail - got your attention. It’s the addition of the last B to the famous BBB that is of key significance.

Contrary to a long held consumer myths, threatening to call in the BBB, as they are known, when the consumer is not getting their way with a business, does not actually work. If anything, it will probably backfire in a number of ways.
