Country superstar Shania Twain has gone through a series of major personal transitions since May 15, 2008 when a spokesperson for Mercury Nashville announced that Twain and her husband of nearly 15 years were separating.

During the past three years Shania has also gone through a hair transition ditching her big country hair for a much softer, tousled hairstyle which fits with her current life journey.  Shania whose base hair color is a dark chocolate truffle highlighted with ribbons of pecan and caramel which are interspersed throughout her edges.

Twain’s Personal Transition

Twain’s best friend and confidante Marie-Anne Thiebaud had a secret affair with Twain’s husband, Mutt Lange.  After their divorce was finalized on June 9, 2010 Twain became close friends with the ex-husband of Marie-Anne Thiebaud.   Ultimately the two, who had not been acquainted beforehand, fell in love and married on January 1, 2011 in Rincón, Puerto Rico.

Shania has publicly confessed that all the emotional trauma of her divorce as well as dealing with memories of her early life have resulted in her losing her singing voice.

Although she’s promised she will eventually sing again, at the present time she’s filming a reality show on Oprah’s new OWN network as well as promoting her new book “From This Moment On” on various TV shows including Ellen and Today. Continue reading “Shania Twain’s Hair Transition” »

I’ve mentioned in the past that I’m currently in a period of transitional cleaning. Not only am I slowly digging through lots of old boxes of books, papers and magazines, I’m donating lots of clothes, shoes and other things which could take me over the edge from borderline hoarder into full blown reality hoarding TV star.

Yesterday I found a box full of magazines dedicated to Madonna and her various hairstyles. A Vanity Fair issue from 2000 had a fascinating article by Steven Daly titled Like An Artist. Daly’s ten year old article about the great songwriter, producer-performer and fashion designer is still appropriate for 2010.

What I always found compelling about Madonna was how Ms. Ciccone’s dramatic shape-shifting throughout her career has always included a major change to her hair. Indeed, Daly included a montage of 36 of the superstar’s many looks highlighted by her ever changing hair colors, lengths and textures. The always gorgeous Jessica Simpson and her Mane Man, Hollywood Hair Guru, Ken Paves, worked closely together over the past few days to shoot a stunning cover for an upcoming Glamour Magazine issue.

Photo shoot insiders reported Ken designed eye popping, mouth dropping hairstyles for the blonde songbird’s cover work which showcased Jessica’s sizzling body and fashions.

Calista Flockhart was recently on Jimmy Kimmel to promote a special two hour episode, “Troubled Waters,” on her ABC hit show, Brothers & Sisters.

At the beginning of the show Jimmy, who had never met the beautiful and blonde Calista before, teased her about being star struck over her finance, Harrison Ford.

Jimmy also asked Calista about the cast of the very talented actors on Brothers & Sisters.  Although there have constantly been rumors of major fights amongst the cast, especially with Calista and Rachel Griffiths who plays her sister Sarah.

Calista told Jimmy everyone gets along great although not everyone is on set at the same time or in scenes together.  There has also be a lot of buzz about Balthazar Getty and his future on the show.

Supposedly there were lots of difficulties with Balthazar over his romance with Sienna Miller.  If that were the case, it was not mentioned during Jimmy’s chat with Calista.

A couple of times Jimmy tried to get Calista to spill the beans about what really happens in the storyline between her and her husband played by Rob Lowe.  The comedian even baited the beautiful actress by saying Rob Lowe had been on the show the night before and had spilled the storyline.  Calista was having none of it.
