I’m a huge Twitterholic.  Even though in a way you could call me one of the old ladies of the Web since I’ve been around since the mid 1990s, I really never got fired up about Web2.0.  I tried but it just didn’t catch my initial interest.

Yes, I have a Linkedin Account, a Facebook account and have proudly had some of my articles reprinted on MySpace because HairBoutique has had a MySpace account as soon as it was permitted.  I also had an account on SecondLife right after the site was opened and HairBoutique had an initial storefront we took down before anyone else in the hair industry even knew about SecondLife.

Although I love the Web and am in some circles considered an early adopter with HairBoutique.com and HairTalk, I never got the Social Netorking bug until Twitter. (more…)

Jessica Alba was interviewed by Teen People Magazine (now out of print) about her bikini experiences.  Jessica told TP “Up until I was15, I was nervous about wearing bathing suits - I’d wear jean shorts in the water!”

Jessica said “if you’re not ready (for a tiny bikini) don’t force it.  Wear jean shorts with tank tops or a sarong or a little sundress (on the beach).

The big news in the world of eyelashes is that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently approved Bimatoprost (marketed as Lumigan) to grow eyelashes. Allergan, the maker of Botox will be releasing LATISSE™ which is their Lumigan based product in the Spring of 2009.

One of the biggest beauty busters during Thanksgiving besides those extra helpings of pumpkin pie is stress. We all know stress can cause last minute blemishes to pop out, cause fits of insomnia which means more concealer for those dark under-eye circles. Stress is a major beauty buzz killer which can cause hair to get yucky.

Yeah… OK…. what do I mean by yucky? It can mean many different things to different people but generally stress can cause a tight scalp, dry frizzy tresses or generally unmanageable. For others it can mean excessive oiliness resulting in limp or lank strands.
