George Clooney Christmas Quote

Thursday, December 25th, 2008

As a huge fan of the Ellen DeGeneres show I’ve been watching with amusement as she tries every trick in the book to entice the famous movie star with the gorgeous salt and pepper hair to stop by her show for a spontaneous visit.

It seems that Ellen’s show recently moved to a soundstage that shares a parking lot with George Clooney’s offices. Ever since moving across the parking lot Ellen has done everything from sending Chippendales over (at the suggestion of Brad Pitt) to sending Carmen Electra and Anna (rhymes with Donna) Faris over.

Maybe Ellen should stop and see George today which is Christmas.  Why?

Last year George was quoted in US Magazine about his feeling about the Christmas Holidays…. “I don’t go a big Christmas thing.  I think Christmas, at some point, is for having a bunch of kids, so I just get through the Holidays.  I have a lot of work to do.”

And where else might George be working but at his office in Hollywood across the parking lot from Ellen’s TV show.

Or maybe not.  George is also a fan of Italy where he owns a gorgeous house.  Not to mention his hectic travel schedule related to his work on a variety of films.

Blood Kissing Hairstyles & Dangers

Sunday, December 14th, 2008

Yesterday I received an email from a blog visitor (Jessica) who is addicted to Twilight.  She has seen the movie six times and wants to encourage her boyfriend to bite her neck in true vampire fashion (known as a type of blood kissing similar to lip biting kissing) where he draws Jessica’s actual blood.

Unfortunately Jessica is having a few hair related challenges with her blood biting/blood kissing goals.  The problems?  Her hair is long, very curly and blonde.

Her guy (Paul) uses her hair as an excuse not to bite her neck because he complains that her hair gets into his mouth when he is trying to bite and that he is worried that his blood may leave marks in her long hair.

Jess is not sure whether he is just making excuses but asked me for appropriate blood kissing hairstyles that might entice Paul to bite her neck to draw blood.

She’s not interested in just love kisses (hickeys) or traditional blood kisses (biting the lips) she wants him to literally cause her neck to bleed.  She is also worried about the blood potentially staining her hair and her parents getting upset about it. (more…)

Santa Claus Hot News

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

Santa Clause wants all of his good little boys and girls to be forewarned that if you plan to give gift cards to your loved ones around the holidays, you need to be careful that the cards will be honored after January.

Many of Santa’s toy shops are going out of business after Santa comes by to see them one last time.

Listed below are Santa’s shops that are closing.  If you buy gift cards there, be sure that you can use them. (more…)

PC Magazine Shuts Down Print After 10 Years

Sunday, November 23rd, 2008

If you saw the different magazine titles that stack up outside of my office door you might think I am either very well read, have ADD or an identity crisis.  Actually, it’s a little bit of all of those things.

My only regret is that I don’t have more time to read more titles in more related arenas.  Since I’m CEO of a telephony/telecom company - T&S Software - as well as an Internet hair, beauty, fashion site - HairBoutique.com - I alternate between reading about technology and business with hair, beauty, fashion and health.  Of course I also try to stay up on my special interests such as Feng Shui, astrology and travel.

Interlaced with the Vogue, Glamour, Lucky, Cosmopolitan and Star Magazines are PC Magazines.  There’s a huge stack of them in one of my many libraries (yes, I said many).  I have been a fan of PC Magazine since it first hit the stands.

Sadly, it was announced this week that the honorable techie title has folded under the current economic challenges and will be going totally digital.  Which is bad news for me.  (more…)

Bleached Blonde Hair - Football Players Embrace

Friday, November 14th, 2008

My home town paper - The Dallas Morning News - reported today that a Southlake Texas football team (Southlake Carroll) has gone bleached blonde.  And not just a little.  The team has “glow in the dark white hair”.

As the story goes, in 2001, a new team unity was born in the form of hair bleaching.  As reported by Damon L. Sayles, it’s now an anticipated event in the Southlake community.  (more…)
