A gorgeous Arielle Kebbel made a surprise appearance on CW’s hit show, The Vampire Diaries, wearing a below-the-waist long blonde tresses.

Arielle was playing a 300 year young female vampire, Lexi, whose best friend is Stefan (Paul Wesley).  It’s made clear that Lexi and Stefan are just friends with absolutely no romantic entanglements.

It’s also obvious that Lexi is very powerful and doesn’t like Stefan’s evil brother, Damon (Ian Somerhalder).  The feeling between Lexi and Damon is mutual.  Neither likes the other much at all.

Lexi not only pops in to see her best friend, she is also in town “for one night only” to celebrate Stefan’s 162nd birthday.   Of course the title of the edgy episode is “162 Candles” to go along with the birthday theme. (more…)

It was recently announced that Marcus Hearn has put together a great introduction to the hotties of the Hammer world written and titled a new book simply Hammer Glamour.

The hardcover coffee-table book is packed with 160 pages of gorgeous women in provocative poses on great movie sets as they invite fans from all over the world into the Hammer house of horrors.

The author does a magnificent job in his brief introduction giving a quick history of Hammer Film Productions.

The book provides good overviews of the ladies’ careers before and after their Hammer days. The stars are alphabetized and given a page, sometimes two, of info to go along with their awesome photos. (more…)

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The NFL and its players union share the blame for failing to take care of those who retire from football damaged by its violent collisions, Hall of Famer Jim Brown said Thursday.

One day after appearing before the U.S. House Judiciary Committee for a hearing on head injuries in football, Brown said in a series of talks at Williams College that the league’s failure to take care of retired players is “a crying shame.”

“The NFL, with the players association, have been an embarrassment, because the legends of the game who have run into hard times, medically and economically, have been deserted,” Brown said. “It’s a crying shame that an organization like the NFL does not take care of their own.”

In discussing his football career Brown explained he ultimately retired after only nine seasons because “Hollywood was offering him more money, and there was the matter of appearing in a movie with sex symbol Raquel Welch” (more…)

Last November Raquel Welch was included in the list of the 25 sexiest women in film of all time by gentleman’s magazine, GQ.

No surprise there.  Many fans as well as beauty and fashion critics agree Raquel is still sizzling hot in her 60s.

Even though Raquel was born September 5, 1940, she is still considered gorgeous, looking decades younger than her biological age.

In the GQ article Raquel was quoted as saying “I didn’t realize it then, but the way I looked was a real departure from the previous pre-eminent sex symbol, who was Marilyn Monroe.”

As reported by E Online and the fabulous Ted Casablanca, actress Ashley Green has gone with much longer hair extensions to totally change up her look.

Ashley who is one of the “Twilight girls” has been creating lots of media buzz as a result of her new found fame as one of Edward’s vampire “sisters”.

In the books it’s Ashley (Alice Cullen) who befriends the bewildered Bella. Fans of the book series initially attacked Ashley for being too tall and having too much hair to play the part of Alice.

Even though Ashley stood out for her character’s short pixie choppy haircut, which made hair news when the first Twilight movie was released, some fans still thought it wasn’t short enough, which Ashley addressed at the time.

I personally thought Ashley had an edgy look compared to the other female vampires. Whether it was too short or not….who really cares? Seriously.

As reported by E Online Ashley has been very recently spotted with much longer tresses (to the middle of her back) applied to her natural length by hairdresser Essly Powel who is based in Los Angeles at the Parlour on 3rd.
