I had a rare opportunity to catch up with Sherri today where she graciously shared some of her vast wisdom about the hair industry, her long relationship representing Rusk and her goals for the immediate future.

Sherri is charming and very easy to talk to.  She willingly shared details about a wide range of hair care techniques and products, specifically some of the Rusk products and amazing color line. By the end of our phone interview I was very impressed with Sherri’s passion for her work as an educator and her boundless energy.

With work featured in more than forty acclaimed publications including MODERN SALON, COSMOPOLITAN, and OK! Magazines and widely quoted as an industry expert in the international media, Sherri is a recognized source for all things beauty.  The highly respected beauty expert works tirelessly and creates gorgeous results.

Extensive travel to five continents working as a platform artist provides a universal perspective as she educates and inspires others through dynamic educational events, fashion shows, and stunning photo shoots.

While the news of Brooklyn Decker’s big hair chop isn’t news to the world, it’s new to me.  I have to confess when I heard the news she cut 10 inches off her hair on March 22nd I just didn’t want to hear about it.  So I blocked it out.

I had just seen “Just Go With It” and she looked so stunning in the movie with her long buttery blonde locks I couldn’t believe she cut all her hair off.  I refused to even look at the photos flooding the news wires.  Nope, I just couldn’t bring myself to look at the photos.

Even though the critics panned “Just Go With It” I enjoyed it because I’m a huge Adam Sandler fan.   I always go see all of his movies, even if they might suck because I am such a huge fan.   Sandler’s “Spanglish” is one of my all time guilty pleasures when I’m feeling down and need a good cry mixed with some great laughs.  I owe him my loyalty for some of the amazing films he’s churned out over the years.   Yes, some have sucked but I still plunk my money down.  No matter what.

Reality Star Audrina Patridge is famous for her long sexy hairstyles and hair hues.

Patridge recently took her trademark long lush beachy waves to a softer, lighter hue cascading from an off-center part.  Her latest hair color incarnation works well with her perpetually tanned skin.  The lighter hue also plays well with her eyes and lips.

Audrina admits on her official blog “I feel my hair is usually my biggest flaw!  My hair is actually naturally super straight! I don’t own a hair straightener.  I wish I had wavy hair. I usually put a wave in it, put it up in a pony tail or clip it half way back!”

As far as her natural hair and eye color, Audrina admits “I’m naturally a dirty blonde. My eyes are hazel, but at times look brown, amber or green. So when it comes to coloring my hair, I sometimes go dark which brings out the green.  But I tend to not ask for a specific color, – I like honey tones.”

Hair How To: Step By Step

To copy Audrina’s lightly tousled beachy waves, start with a toffee or caramel base infused with platinum highlights.

1.  Cleanse hair in lukewarm water with desired methodology such as shampoo, Diluted Shampoo (DS), Conditioner Only (CO), Water Only (WO), Lo Poo, No Poo or a combination.   Select the best products for your hair type, texture and condition.

2.  Rinse well.  Apply desired leave-in conditioner from the ears down to the ends.  With the conditioner still in the hair, use fingers or hair-friendly wide tooth comb to detangle.  Start from the ends and work slowly and gently up towards the roots. Actress Jenna Elfman (born September 30, 1971) is famous for her buttery blonde hues which she’s worn both long and lush and in an array of short bobs, crops, shags and caps.

Although Jenna’s most recent TV series “Accidentally on Purpose” was canceled, she appeared in the film “Friends With Benefits” starring Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake.

Jenna recently took her chin length bob even shorter with an uneven bowl style cut which combines a short choppy graduated cut with asymmetrical layers.  Jenna’s new short hairstyle offers lots of styling versatility for her naturally medium thick, slightly wavy hair.  It can be style sleek and smooth or edgy, tousled and ruffled.

Short hairstyles no longer easily fit into neat little categories.  They lines are literally blurred between pixies, crops, caps, chops, bobs, bowls and shags.   Jenna’s latest short cut is a classic example of the new generation of short hairstyles which borrow the best for a variety of styles into one haircut.
