Mid-Back Of The Head, Center And Side Ponytails

Thursday, April 7th, 2011

Mid Back Of The Head, Center And Side PonytailsMid Back Of The Head, Center And Side PonytailsUltimately it’s always best to position the base of your ponytail where it’s most comfortable for you.

There are many locations along the head where a ponytail base can be located.   No rule exists against wearing a ponytail right at the hairline.

In fact, Suzanne Somers used to wear her blonde ponytail from Three’s Company back from her hairline and to one side.

It became her trademark look even though it was due to her hair getting burned requiring her to wear her quirky pony.

Men often prefer to wear their ponytails low on the head near the nape of the neck. Continue reading “Mid-Back Of The Head, Center And Side Ponytails” »

Long Haired Pia Toscano’s Shocking Elimination From American Idol

Thursday, April 7th, 2011

Long Haired Pia Toscanos Shocking Elimination From American IdolFrom the moment I first heard Pia Toscano sing I had perpetual goosebumps.  I had no doubt in my mind that Pia was going to wind up in the top five.

But after tonight’s American Idol (AI) elimination all bets are off in a season which has been filled with shocking twists and turns starting with Casey Abram’s sudden illness and then elimination.

Abrams was saved by the AI judges in a move which was deemed to be risky since his save was so early in the season.

Indeed, that save has come to bite the AI judges in the rear.  Pia Toscano had long lush raven tresses which had a blinding shimmer.  She was beautiful and had a body that wouldn’t stop.

Pia Toscano could also sing although she was constantly dinged for only singing ballads.  On Wednesday night she broke with her ballad tradition.  Afterall, the night was dedicated to rock n roll and Pia embraced the opportunity to sing Tina Turner’s ‘River Deep Mountain High.’ Continue reading “Long Haired Pia Toscano’s Shocking Elimination From American Idol” »

Hair How To: Questions You Must Ask Before Getting Any Cut Or Color

Monday, April 4th, 2011

It’s common knowledge in the hair world is that the devil is in the details.  What does this mean?

Quite simHair How To: Questions You Must Ask Before Getting Any Cut Or Color ply that before you spontaneously pop into your hairstylist’s chair and whimsically ask for a sizzling new hair cut and dramatic new color you need to ask the following questions:

1.  What will it take to maintain this cut and/or color?
2.  How often will I need to do root touch up?
3.  How often will I need to have the cut trimmed or reshaped?
4.  Will this haircut work with my face shape?
5.  Will the color complement my skin and eye tone?
6.  Does this haircut work for his hair type, texture and current condition?
7.  Does this haircut add or subtract age and/or pounds?
8.  How difficult will it be to duplicate the styling techniques at home?
9.  If I decide I don’t like it how hard would it be to return to my current hair color and/or style?
10.  How long will it take the hair cut to grow out and what styles can I transition to?
11.  Are there new products I will need to buy to maintain the color or create the new styles?

Adrianne Palicki Spotted Filming Wonder Woman TV Show In LA

Saturday, April 2nd, 2011

Adrianne Palicki Spotted Filming Wonder Woman TV Show In LAActress Adrianne Palicki has been sighted in Los Angeles on Hollywood Boulevard filming the new “Wonder Woman” TV show (developed by David E. Kelly) she has picked to star in.  She was spotted in full Wonder Woman costume on the 29th and 30th of March.

As I previously blogged, Palicki is doing Wonder Woman as a brunette even though she previously was a fan favorite on “Friday Night Lights” as a platinum blonde.

Although “Friday Night Lights” has ceased production, the final season was exclusively shown on Direct TV.  The final season will be repeated on the regular network.

The character of Wonder Woman has been around since 1941 when the Amazonian character was introduced in a comic strip by William Mouten Marsten.

Already there has been some fan outcry about the new TV show.  When initial images of Palicki in the Wonder Woman costume was shown fans criticized the first costumer as being too cheesy.

They also said the boots and pants looked cheap and more like a Halloween costume than a major crime fighting woman.  Since that inital outcry Palicki’s costume has been changed to look more Amazonian.
