Manscaping Featured On Latest Episode Of House

Jesse Spencer As Dr. Robert Chase on House

Manscaping Featured On Latest Episode Of House

Jesse Spencer returned recently as Dr. Robert Chase in Season Eight of HOUSE on FOX.

On the “Dead & Buried” episode broadcast on Monday, Nov. 21st Dr. Chase was called out by Doctors Park (Charlyne Yi, L) and Adams (Odette Annable) for his three consecutive haircuts, his obvious mani/pedi and his rumored Brazilian.

Although Chase blew off the accusations of aggressive manscaping, ultimately he caved and confessed his waxing habits.

His quest for manscaping perfection ultimately was explained when Dr. House showed the team a video of Chase appeared on video as a Doctor Down Under.   The mystery of Dr. Chase’s willingness to endure the pain of manscaping was tied to his video appearance.

Do Men Really Get Brazilians?

Mike Myers as Dr. Evil in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery observed “There’s nothing quite like a shorn scrotum… It’s breathtaking… I suggest you try it!”.

While men definitely may wax their chest and back hair, current grooming wisdoms suggest that men never use wax and creams to remove pubic hair from the family jewels.   Continue reading “Manscaping Featured On Latest Episode Of House” »

Antonio Banderas Rocks Buzz Cut

Antonio Banderas Rocks Buzz Cut

Antonio Banderas

Antonio Banderas Rocks Buzz Cut

Antonio Banderas was a guest on Ellen’s talk show on Friday.  He looks as handsome as ever, even with what appeared to be a fairly new classic buzz cut hairstyle.  The buzz cut is also referred to as an induction cut or even a wiffle.

Banderas has the perfect head for a classic buzz because it can make the face look well-defined.  With his handsome Latin features a buzz cut is a great option for Antonio who also is blessed with a great head shape and a well-proportioned neck and body shape.

The buzz cut is a fabulous low-maintenance hairstyle because it’s so short. Banderas may have adopted the buzzed look for an upcoming movie role, or just because they are so easy to style and care for.

Although Banderas has been wearing his hear shorter lately, sometimes the top will be worn longer in  a look that is more Caeser then buzz.

For those of you not in the know, a buzz cut is usually performed using hair clippers without a comb guard.  The sides are cut closely and then the top is either shaped or cut, like Banderas has his hair currently, to the same short length all over. Brad Pitt Grows Goatee Again

Brad Pitt Grows Goatee Again

Brad Pitt Grows Goatee AgainBrad Pitt Grows Goatee AgainBrad Pitt appears to be growing his facial hair again. In July he showed off a full moustache, a beard and a bit of a soul patch.  Will he stick with the beard or is he going to revert back to his previous goatee?

In the past the handsome actor and long time life partner of Angelina Jolie caught lots of criticism for growing a ghastly goatee.

At one point in the recent past Brad debuted a horrendous misshapen goatee which was approximately 4 full inches when he appeared at the Invictus movie premiere in Los Angeles in December of 2009.

Male facial hair experts weighed in on his various goatees which they decided was intentionally being showcased in an un-groomed fashion.  Even worse was the fact that Brad’s beard was showing a lots of gray, not a good look for the superstar.

Barbers pointed out that Brad should always cover his gray goatee hairs so that his facial hair would look more polished, natural and well-groomed.  It was also suggested that his goatee be shaped along traditional goatee lines and trimming the excessive length. Burke Kenny said it’s not unusual to notice people staring at his chest.  “I have to say, ‘I’m up here,” ‘ he said, pointing to his face. “Just like a girl.”

Kenny won the same title four years ago in England, when he became the youngest international facial-hair champion.  As they were preparing for the world competition, the contestants were followed by film crews for the reality show “Whisker Wars,” which premiers at 11 p.m. Aug. 5 on IFC. How To Grow And Style Goatees

How To Grow And Style Goatees Although considered a classic man facial hair trend, goatees come and go out of fashion like everything else in the hair world.

What Is A Goatee?

What is the true definition of a goatee? A classic goatee is a type of beard formed by a tuft of hair which grows on the chin.   Leonardo DiCaprio is a classic example of a celebrity who is a long time goatee wearer.

Some men wear only a goatee while others combine the goatee with a mustache which may or may not be connected by hair on each side of the lips forming a circle of hair.  Leonardo wears a combination of a goatee with a well-defined mustache, a small soul patch and a well-defined beard which creates a clear circle of hair.

There are variation on the classic goatee including a tiered goatee which has variable lengths of hair which create a multi-leveled beard.

A goatee may also be combined with or without a beard.  In fact, a man might wear a goatee along with a mustache and a beard for a full facial combination.  On the other hand, a Vandyke is a mustache and goatee, that may or may not be connected.

The Soul Patch

Another popular male facial hair look is a tuft of hair worn right under the lower lip.  This type of facial hair is known as a soul patch (sole patch, mouche, etc.,) and is not considered a type of goatee.  The soul patch, also known as a royale or impériale, can be worn completely alone or combined with a variety of other facial hair options.
