Hollywood’s Most Expensive Engagement Rings

Beyonce recently announced her pregnancy at the 2011 VMA’s by unbuttoning her jacket and flashing her baby bump. The pop star is used to flashing her treasures. When she got engaged to celebrity rapper Jay-Z she was flashing something else, her 18-carat flawless diamond sparkler which reportedly is valued at $5 million.

Although Kim Kardashian’s $2 million dollar engagement ring weighs in at 20.5 carats, it doesn’t hold a candle to Beyonce’s stunner.

Of course Beyonce is married to a rapper supposedly worth $940 million dollars or more. Being such a high profile rapper, Jay-Z was required to show up all the competition by popping for one of the most expensive engagement rings in the Hollywood set.

Jada Pinkett Smith’s engagement ring which she received from hubby Will Smith weighed in around 12 carats although it’s value isn’t well-known.

Other big Hollywood sparklers?

How To – Achieve This Sensual Hairstyle

This simple but elegant hairstyle is showcased on one of the stunning Jovani Prom Gowns.  The hairstyle can be worn pulled off the hairline in front (as shown by the Jovani model) or it can be combined with a side-swept or full fringe.

Pulling all the hair off the face does have the advantage of creating a dramatic hairstyle and of course shows off perfect make-up, lips and stunning earrings.

The Modern Nape Knot is perfectly paired with the Jovani gown which features lots of gorgeous ruffles.  In this case you don’t want your hair to detract from the beauty of the gown.

Suggested Hair Length – Long – Shoulder Length Or Longer.

Hair should either be naturally straight or have the ability to be temporarily straightened with products or during drying cycle.  While you could create a Modern Nape Knot on hair which is naturally curly or wavy, you would not be able to achieve the same sleekness.

The Hollywood Reporter recently published an amazing piece about how celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe became the most powerful stylist in Hollywood.

When discussing Rachel Zoe Inc’s (RZI) bread and butter, it was revealed that “styling celebrities and a few private clients” remains the primary moneymaker.

Zoe revealed “Sometimes princesses will fly in for three days from Dubai or Russia or London — that’s always fun.”

Although it’s apparent from The Hollywood Reporter piece that Zoe is extremely busy, the stylist says “if I was really excited about someone and if it was the right fit” she might take on a new client.

Even though it’s not her primary goal to expand her client roster anytime soon, the right person would make it on her short list.

Well except maybe for Snooki,  Jersey Shore’s famous cast member.  Zoe made her feelings about Snooki very clear.   “I don’t have time,” coos Zoe, who says she’s never seen an episode of Jersey Shore. “No really, because she’s so out there right now, that’s like a full-time job. It’s nothing against Snooki.”

Yes, Snooki has a very unique style of dress for her hit MTV reality show, but she could easily be a class act.  Watch out Anne Hathaway.

Actually, if anyone could help Snooki look absolutely amazing it would be Zoe.  Maybe she’s no longer up for a challenge?  Well hey, Snooki, I’d be glad to style you and definitely for a lot less than Rachel, who charges $10,000 per event.

Don’t get me wrong, I think Zoe does an amazing job but I feel bad that she would snub Snooki.  Who wouldn’t want to work with Snooki?  She’s adorable and could rule the world with the right outfits. Plus she has amazing hair.  Snooki if you’re out there…call me.

A traditional chignon pulled up high on top of the head, positioned halfway between the hairline and nape of the neck looks dressy, but is easy to create on tresses which are shoulder length or longer.

If your hair is too short to wrap into a chignon then you can utilize clip-in hair extensions, a clip-in pony, fusion extensions or an add-on bun.

The bun can be created on most hair textures ranging from stick straight to wavy and curly.   Hair can either be temporarily straightened or worn with natural texture.

For a sleek chignon the hair will need to be smoothed before wrapping.

Sometimes sweeping your hair up and back into an elegant updo can feel sassy, sensual and sexy.   The best news?  Creating an elegant hairdo can be easy.

Whether you want to pull your hair completely up on top of your head or sweep it to one side for a side-swept chignon, the options are endless.

One Tree Hill’s Sophia Bush showcases some of the most gorgeous updos, chignons, twists and buns both on and off screen.

Sophia historically wears her milk chocolate brown ginger kissed tresses directed completely off her stunning face.  Or she adds a bit of flair to her hair with a side-swept fringe brushed from a deep side, part as shown in the image to the side.

Make sure tresses are super shiny to give your hairdo a touch of polish and bit of elegant shape.

To amp up the shimmer factor, try giving your tresses a cool or cold final rinse in the shower.   The cool water temp seals the hair’s cuticle and results in a super-shiny, frizz-free hairstyle.

Add a few drops of shine serum, polish or spray to your fingertips, massage into the palms of your hands and then lightly brush over the top of your new twist in order to guarantee added sparkle.  Don’t forget to add some stunning earrings to show off your elegant updo.
