I’m a huge fan of “weekend warrior” type trips and one of my favorite destinations for a quick weekend get-away is Las Vegas! There’s literally something always going on: a party is always brewing, there’s a steady stream of amazing artists coming to perform, and I’m such a regular at some of the spas the staff are always shocked to realize I actually live four states over.

My normal Las Vegas bundle of goodies includes the bare essentials needed for staying fabulous on the go.My signature day-time look is both perfect for lounging in the spa, shopping, and lunching with friends: Karina headband in conjunction with a low pony and adorned with a hair flower.

As simple as it sounds, these three combined create an easy look that screams effortless beauty. For a pony, I recommend Evita Peroni’s Meg Twists. If you manage to get it wet while enjoying spa services or lounging poolside, the fabric dries quickly and won’t snag your hair. (more…)

As far as I’m concerned Pink definitely stole the Grammy Awards Show last night.

Yes, Beyonce was fantastic and so was Lady Gaga but when Pink ascended up in the air and was spinning as part of a human top, I was in awe.

I also loved her hair which was bleached a perfect shade of platinum with nary a root showing through.

I have always like Pink with platinum blonde hair even better than her original pink hue.

When she arrived on The Red Carpet she was wearing her platinum blonde short hair carefully sculpted with a small bump off the hairline.

She adorned her short crop with a beautiful crystal hair accessory which looked a lot like one of the Cara, Linda Levinson, Jane Tran or similar jeweled hairpins we have been carrying for years in our Marketplace. (more…)

Debi Mazar recently popped up on The Bonnie Hunt Show to chat with the blonde bombshell talk show hostess (my current favorite just a little ahead of Ellen).

Bonnie introduced Debi by pointing out she had done everything from music videos with Madonna to a film with Martin Scorsese.

Debi appeared on stage wearing her hair brushed completely off her face with each side brushed sleekly back towards the crown and held in place with matching chocolate brown barrette style clips.

The front of chocolate brown hair was parted to the right and brushed across to one side.  The back of her hair which was just slightly below shoulder length fell in a cascade of light waves and flipped softly up at the ends. She wore a sleeveless black dress with silver accessories.  Her skin looked flawless. (more…)

One of those amazing designers is the charming and lovely Jane Tran who personally trolls the beaches of California searching for inspiration for her stunning unique designs.

I can’t say enough complimentary things about Jane who is a true designer rather than an intergrator or importer.

Jane actually sketches her designs before she creates them and then hand picks the materials she uses for her ultimate creations.  And I have had the pleasure of chatting with Jane on more than on occasion about the materials she selects.  She is a genius at design. (more…)
