Hair How To: Kirstie Alley From Dancing With The Stars On ABC

Monday, March 21st, 2011

Hair How To: Kirstie Alley From Dancing With The Stars On ABCKirstie Alley is back on network TV as the celebrity dancing partner of Maksim Chmerkovskiy the Dancing With The Star’s bad boy pro.

Kirstie and Maks came out dancing in the Premiere episode.  The sizzling duo earned a 23, the second-highest score of the night, for their spectacular cha-cha.  Maks is considered a strong taskmaster but he is often in the finals so Kirstie is lucky to have him as her partner.

Kirstie is famous for her long honey hued hairstyle infused with loose curls and waves throughout the perimeter.  Kirstie’s hairstyle usually features a picture perfect side-swept fringe which flows from a side part and down over the top of one eye.

How To Copy Kirstie’s Hair

The top of Kirstie’s hairstyle is smooth and sleek exploding into lush volume along the edges due to a heavy dose of big beautiful waves.

Complete the steps below to copy Kirstie’s Hairstyle:

1.  Wash hair in lukewarm water using routine cleansing method such as Diluted Shampoo (DS), Conditioner Only (CO), Conditioner Wash Conditioner (CWC), No Poo, Low Poo or Water Only (WO).  Use products appropriate for your hair type, texture, length and current condition.

2.  Use a rinse-out conditioner during the wash cycle. While the conditioner is still on the hair detangle your strands using your fingers or a hair-friendly detangling comb.  Finish with a cool water rinse.  Use fingers to gently squeeze out excess water. (more…)

Kelly Osbourne’s Grammy Hairstyle – Tousled Long Layered Bobstyle

Monday, February 14th, 2011

Kelly Osbournes Grammy Hairstyle Tousled Long Layered BobstyleKelly Osbourne recently joined the E! Red Carpet Team as a commenter.  Not only has she blossomed as a TV personality, her hair and fashions constantly win points.

At the 2011 Grammy Awards Kelly was front and center with the E! team and expressed her own unique opinions about various celebrities as they strolled the Red Carpet or stopped by to chat.

Kelly looked spectacular in a short Tadashi Shoji layered ruffled design which showcased her amazing body.  It was a fun, flattering, girly and saucy look for the former Dancing With The Stars favorite.

Her buttery blonde hair was a perfect accessory for her magnificent gown.  She wore it in a below-the-shoulder bobstyle known as a LOB or long bob. She had a hint of a side-swept fringe with the edges nestled slightly over her left eye before blending into the rest of her strands.

Kelly’s strands were directed over to one side from a deep side part which was softened by pulling a few strands in opposite directions.

Kelly’s hair was actually a hybrid of a LOB and a layered shaggy style.  Regardless of what category you assign her hair to, her tresses were the perfect style for the design she was wearing.  With such a beautiful design Kelly was wise to keep her tresses simple but elegant.  If her hairstyle had been heavily textured or woven into a dramatic updo, it would have detracted from the gorgeous gown.

DWTS Will Not Be The Same Without Dancer Derek Hough

Monday, January 31st, 2011

DWTS Will Not Be The Same Without Dancer Derek HoughProfessional Dancer Derek Hough has decided to leave Dancing With The Stars (DWTS), temporarily, to star in a Hollywood movie.  I for one am very sad since he’s my alltime favorite dancer on the show.  Although he’s only 25 years old, Derek is an incredible dancer.

The platinum blonde lifelong dancer helped Nicole Scherzinger, Brooke Burke and Jennifer Grey take home the coveted mirrorball trophy.   Derek has already started training for the movie by brushing up on his tap dancing.

The 25-year-old told People.com he had already put on about 10lbs of muscle for the upcoming film, ‘which is a lot for me.’   The movie focuses on two dancers embroiled in a Romeo and Juliet-style romance.

Hough will play a New Orleans street dancer who moved to New York and falls for an Asian drummer, played by Korean singer BoA.  Despite being members of rival dance clubs they fall in love – with predictable results.   (more…)
