Super Bowl Media Day Hair Winner? Troy Polamalu or Clay Matthews?

Tuesday, February 1st, 2011

Super Bowl Media Day Hair Winner? Troy Polamalu or Clay Matthews?Even though Arlington Texas was hit in the early morning hours by an arctic storm which blanketed the area in a thick sheet of treacherous ice, media day for Super Bowl XLV was held as usual at the new Cowboys Stadium.

Mobs of media were transported across icy highways and herded into the arena where they were only allowed 60 minutes, counted down on a scoreboard, to interview the players from both teams.

The media didn’t have either a lot of time or a lot of new topics to talk about.  When all else fails, hair is a great topic.  And Troy Polomalu and Clay Matthews’ hair was a key topic today at Cowboy’s Stadium. The  Hair Wars of Steeler’s Troy Polomalu or Green Bay’s Clay Matthews continued to be a key topic.

So who really has the best hair between Polomalu or Matthews?   Of course everyone will have their opinions, but personally I think Troy’s naturally curly tresses spectacular.  Yes, Matthews has nice blonde tresses but when placed alongside those thick raven black Polomalu strands I think there’s no contest.

Head & Shoulders obviously agrees with me.  Which is why his thick natural curls netted No. 43 so much attention as they cascaded out from his Steeler’s helmet.  Head & Shoulders recognized that Troy’s Samoan hair is not only naturally curly, it’s very thick and truly magnificent.  Definitely a great head of hair to represent their famous brand. Green Bay Packers’ A.J. Hawk Not Going To Cut Long Hair Anytime Soon

Friday, January 28th, 2011

Green Bay Packers A.J. Hawk Not Going To Cut Long Hair Anytime SoonWhen you live in Dallas, Texas you almost certainly grow up with a love of football.  Yes, it’s true the love tends to be tied to the Dallas Cowboys, college or Texas high school football.  But in general, it’s a true and undying love of football.

When I first moved to Dallas in 1984 I was stunned to discover that a group of business women having lunch talked football.  Even though I grew up in St. Louis where football wasn’t as popular, I knew after that women’s lunch I had to get with the program.

Inside The NFL On Showtime

As a result, I became a fan of football.  Which explains why last night I was watching Inside The NFL on Showtime.  I love the hilarious, but informative banter, between Chris Collingsworth, Warren Sapp (my own personal favorite) Phil Simms and host James Brown.

Since the Green Bay Packers are meeting the Pittsburgh Steelers in the upcoming SuperBowl XLV, I was curious to see what the football experts had to say about each team.  A short interview with GB Packer’s star Middle Linebacker (ML), A.J. Hawk, was telecast towards the end of the show. (more…)

Alex Lambert Of American Idol Tweets Of Homelessness

Thursday, January 20th, 2011

Alex Lambert Of American Idol Tweets Of HomelessnessFormer American Idol contestant Alex Lambert (from Dallas area) swears his tweet of homelessness was not a publicity stunt to gain fame or free publicity, but the stunt, intentional or not, is bringing Alex national attention.

Alex’s tweet sent his name soaring to the top of Twitter trends and Internet searching.  His timing was uncanny since the newest season of the Fox hit aired January 19th for the first time.  Alex Lambert, no relation to Season Eight’s Adam Lambert, was eliminated from AI in March of 2010.

In a matter of hours after the former Idol contented posted a tweet that indicated he was “crashin behind buildings and sleepin outside”, Google searches for “Alex Lambert” ranked at the top of Google`s top internet searches list, maintaining the top position for most of Wednesday morning.

Since hitting the news, multiple media sources, including Entertainment Weekly and MTV News, confirmed an “unidentified rep” for Lambert denied his claims and said he was lying on his Twitter.  Some folks are accusing Lambert of posting the tweet as a publicity stunt for fame and attention.

It will be interesting to see if Lambert’s Tweets about homelessness will help bring him back to National attention.  Will former AI judge Ellen Degeneres take pity on Alex and have him on her show?  Afterall, she has a big soft spot in her heart for anything to do with American Idol.  Stay tuned to see how Alex fares.
