Friday, November 6th, 2009

Now your professional hairdresser can protect your eyes, mouth, face and neck when you visit the salon with Pro-Tech’s revolutionary new face shields.

Owned and operated by Christian Colbert, a creative spirit with over 20 years of salon and styling experience, Pro-Tech face shields are his invention.

Nowadays he is a partner stylist with a trendsetting salon in Dallas, Texas. In addition to being passionate about his clients, he’s just as driven by his Pro-Tech Products.

SpaRitual Takes The Matte Path To Shine Free Luster For Nails

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

Did you know that SpaRitual is a sister company of Orly?  I didn’t know that until I caught up with a long lost acquaintance of mine who I bumped into at Cosmoprof last July.

We chatted about what’s new at Orly, which is the company she works for.  She asked me if I had checked out SpaRitual (I had and I love it) because it’s a sister company product line.

Meanwhile, SpaRitual has come out with their own version of matte nail polish.  As SpaRitual points out, a shine-free existence doesn’t mean your life lacks luster. (more…)

Carrie Prejean Asked To Give Her Breasts Back

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Former Miss California USA Carrie Prejean is back in the news about her breast implants which were supposedly paid for by organizers of the 2009 Miss California USA pageant.

Why is she being sued?  Basically, according to the Miss California USA pageant organizer, Carrie promised to pay back the $5,000+ she was lent to buy her implants.

(Image of Carrie Prejean - Miss California USA 2009 - NBC - All Rights Reserved).

Carrie and the Miss California USA organization did not have a happy parting and Carrie has not paid back the money she is claimed to owe for her breasts.    According to the Miss California USA organizers, Carrie received the money for breast augmentation surgery in January of 2009.

Is this a legal matter over Carrie’s breasts or is there other circumstances at play?  According to the media the California Organizers are involved in a counter suit to legal action taken against them by Ms. Prejean.  The lawsuit also seeks proceeds from a book Ms. Prejean is writing about her experiences as the ousted Miss California USA. Stop Colds And Flu Viruses In Their Tracks

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

In last night’s edition of Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) it was revealed that Pro Dancer Derek Hough had to step out from the competition temporarily because he had the flu.

If you feel a cold or a flu virus is about to strike there are several things you can do to stop the onset, lessen it’s impact or speed it through your system.

Note: These suggestions and recommendations may not apply to anyone with Swine flu or similar.  However it will often help with colds and seasonal virus bugs.  Please always consult with your own private physician before undertaking any suggestions listed below.

It’s so important for me to stay well to keep up with HairBoutique.com and my other responsibilities so when I feel a cold or virus about to hit I follow the following steps which seem to personally help me:

1.  Amp up the Vitamin C. I like the powdered versions and will take them with plain water to help my body absorb the vitamin as fast as possible.  Although it’s never been conclusively proven that Vitamin C fights colds or wards off symptoms, the evidence swings back and forth.  It’s safe to take up to 1,000 mg.  (more…)
