Francis Kurkdjian Is One Of Greatest Living Perfumers

Francis Kurkdjian is known among the small world of fragrance aficionados as one of the greatest living perfumers.

He has created more than 20 of the best-selling fragrances of all time and has created perfumes for the great houses of Lanvin, Dior, Narcisco Rodriguez, Yves Saint Laurent and even created Male, the first perfume for men by Jean Paul Gaultier.
These experiences earned him a number of industry awards, such as Winner of the Francois Coty Perfumer Award for the collective body of his creative work in June 2001, Cosmetique Magazine’s best perfumer of the year in 2008 and Named Chevalier of Arts and Letters in July 2008. Kurkdjian has been deemed “Paris’ most daring young nose.”
Kurkdjian challenges the status quo in the fragrance world, creating break-through concepts that change the way we experience scent. His news-making collaborations and conceptual projects — including scenting of the fountains of Versailles — have been recognized by the art and fashion worlds as a new genre of creative expression.
