CELEBRITY HAIR COLORIST RITA HAZAN LAUNCHES REVOLUTIONARY NEW HAIR PRODUCT

Celebrity Hair Colorist Rita Hazan Launches Revolutionary New Hair ProductRita Hazan Root Concealer is Available Exclusively at Sephora Stores Nationwide March 28th, 2011

NEW YORK, NY MARCH 2011— As one of the most trusted, respected and sought-after colorists in the industry, Rita Hazan has developed a revolutionary new hair product for women and men—Root Concealer, a temporary color touch up spray that is guaranteed to make life a little easier for those who color their hair. As Hazan’s first hair product, Root Concealer was created to eliminate root issues completely.

Hazan designed the Root Concealer in four comprehensive colors: Dark Brown/Black, Light Brown, Blonde and Red, to complement virtually every hair color. Root Concealer is currently available online at Sephora.com and will be available for purchase exclusively in Sephora stores nationwide March 28th.

Ever the perfectionist, Hazan took over four years to painstakingly refine the Root Concealer formula—testing, re-testing, and then testing again under countless conditions and variations. After listening to a slew of clients, stylists, press and beauty experts’ pleas for a better way to make their color-treated hair last longer, Hazan felt there was definite room for improvement in the market of temporary color touch ups. With this in mind, Hazan embarked on the journey to develop her first product, taking a fresh approach to producing a groundbreaking yet convenient, quick, and easy to use, Root Concealer. (more…)

Revamp Your Look For Spring With Flawless Radiant Skin

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

Revamp Your Look For Spring With Flawless Radiant SkinWith Spring around the corner, it’s time to revamp your look for a flawless beautiful barely there look. The scorching sun can take a major toll on that beautiful skin of yours. With glominerals, you can achieve that flawless radiant look without having to worry about sweating your makeup off. Stay healthy and beautiful this Spring with glominerals.

Face: GloFinishing Powder absorbs excess oil that can be retained in your skin due to the hot summer months. The coverage is long lasting making it the perfect product to carry around if touch ups are needed. The minerals applied to the powder leave your skin smooth and silky rather than giving you a matted, course texture.

Revamp Your Look For Spring With Flawless Radiant SkinFace: Camouflage Kit allows you to hide the blemishes, scars and redness that could have been the aftermath of the scorching sun.

The quad is created with four key colors that camouflage unflattering color tones on the face. Yellow conceals mild redness, dark spots and bruises, mint conceals redness and lavender can be used on dark circles around the eyes.

Face: Illuminating Tint a sheer, light –reflecting formula that visually smooths the appearance of fine lines and illuminates skin tones creating a healthy, luminous glow.

Lips: GloGloss in Nude is the perfect finishing touch to complete the barely there look. Less is always more and by using this particular shade your lips will pop without the use of bold tones. This will give you a natural yet stunning appearance when lying out on the beach.

Celeb Hairstylist Orlando Pita Says Kate Winslet’s Hair Was Cut And Dyed For British Vogue

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

Celeb Hairstylist Orlando Pita Says Kate Winslets Hair Was Cut And Dyed For British VogueAccording to an interview with MODERN SALON, celebrity hairstylist Orlando Pita says that Kate Winslet’s hair was cut for the British Vogue cover.

He told MODERN “I think Kate is very versatile and can wear many different looks.  We chose this look because the photographer Mario Testino wanted to giver her a very different look.  The fashion in the story was black and white so we decided to go with almost white hair and cut it short and choppy.”

Pita, a celebrity hair consultant on Bravo’s recent season of Shear Genius, also noted the Academy Award winner’s hair on British Vogue was a dramatic departure from her former shoulder length, dirty blonde locks.

Of course transitioning hair color from dirty blonde to stark white was shocking to fans as was the short choppy hair which many questioned.  Did Kate really cut her hair or not?  After all, many celebrities over the years have stunned fans with a drastic new length or color only to confess later to wearing a wear, hair extensions or some other instant hair altering accessory.

Jessica Simpson famously shocked fans a few years ago by showing up at a red carpet event wearing a drastic new red hair hue.

Shortly afterwards her celebrity hairstylist Ken Paves explained he and Simpson had collaborated on her stunning new do by having her wear a new wig from her Jessica Simpson collection.  Simpson also told the media she used powder mascara to camouflage any random blonde roots that might have popped out from the wig. Jennifer Lawrence 2011 Oscar Beauty Style Secrets

Tuesday, March 1st, 2011

Jennifer Lawrence 2011 Oscar Beauty Style SecretsRed carpet newcomer, 20 year old Oscar Nominee Jennifer Lawrence rocked the red carpet in a bright red Calvin Klein Collection dress, which was very on point with this season’s red/citrus toned colors.

Get the look of Jennifer Lawrence with these simple tips from LA-based makeup connoisseur Juliana Landis.

Jennifer’s look is easy to achieve and is perfect for Spring! Get the look at home by following Juliana’s tips listed below:

To re-create Jennifer’s red carpet beauty style, start with a good primer followed by a great foundation such as Face Atelier’s Ultra foundation for a soft dewy finish, conceal as needed and lightly brush Mac’s Mineralize finishing powder all over.

Warm up the skin with bronzer on the forehead under the cheekbones and jawline and define the brows with a soft brow pencil and brush them out with a great brow powder.

Use Mac’s Brule all over the lid to brow as a base and cover the lid with Glominerals Harvest which is a great gold taupe, use a bronze in the crease and line under the eyes with the same bronze. Jennifer’s eyes were heavily lined on the top lid with a liquid liner and finished with lots of lashes.

Get her beautiful cheekbones with a rose blush and highlight just above the cheeks with an illuminizer and keep the lips nude.
