Princess Diana’s Astrologer Speaks Out About Choice Of Wedding Date For William And Kate

Tuesday, April 26th, 2011

Princess Dianas Astrologer Speaks Out About Choice Of Wedding Date For William And KateYahoo Shine has an interesting article about Astrologer Penny Thornton and her opinions about the date which was chosen for the wedding of Prince William and Kate.

While Thornton believes the new royals will have a long and generally successful union, she predicts there will be plenty of surprises along the way.

This was an interesting article for me because I have been a student of astrology since I was 15 years old.  Many of my friends are practicing astrologers and I received quite a few phone calls and notes commenting upon the upcoming wedding date for the young Royals.

Indeed, I completely agree with Thornton and had asked one astrologer friend if they thought a professional astrologer had actually picked the date for the young couple.  If a professional astrologer did pick the date their choice is definitely puzzling.

The couple are getting married during a less than advantageous moon position which is also somewhat of a mystery in my very humble opinion.

Not only is the moon in the waning crescent period which is not considered by electional astrologers to be the best for starting a new venture such as a marriage, the moon is in the last degrees of Pisces before entering Aries.  The fourth quarter moon symbolizes completion and conclusion not new beginnings. How Calcium Helps Hair Growth, Prevents Hair Loss And Enriches Your Houseplants

How Calcium Helps Hair Growth, Prevents Hair Loss And Enriches Your HouseplantsIf you do a search on the web about the importance of calcium for healthy hair, you will find enough contradictions to make you want to pull your hair out.  Of course I’m joking, but the reality is that there is a lot of misinformation about the importance of calcium for healthy hair and the avoidance of hair loss.

(Hair by Barbara Lhotan – All Rights Reserved)

What’s the real answer?  Calcium plays a part in the growth of healthy hair because its part of the big picture of incorporating a well-balanced nutritional plan into any hair growth or hair loss prevention program.

Calcium alone is not the major bullet that will instantly stop hair loss or grow six inches of hair overnight.  However, if there is a calcium imbalance it can definitely have an impact on the growth of healthy hair.

Should you talk calcium pills?  If your physician or nutritional consultant recommends it then by all means you should.  However, taking calcium pills for the primary purpose of growing hair or preventing hair loss would be much less beneficial.  Incorporating calcium rich foods into your daily diet is much more beneficial for your hair, skin, nails and teeth. Feng Shui For The Soul: How To Create A Harmonious Environment That Will Nuture And Sustain You

Feng Shui For The Soul: How To Create A Harmonious Environment That Will Nuture And Sustain You Recently a business associate asked me about what philosophy of Feng Shui I followed.  I told her it was my own customized formula which evolved over the past nine years of studying with several different “Feng Shui” experts who all had their own theories, philosophies and formulas.

While I faithfully followed each of the “experts” and took their classes, bought their CDs and DVDs and traveled to their home cities for classes and apprenticeships, I ultimately discovered that I couldn’t blindly follow any one of the teachers because while some things worked with all of them, there were still holes and missing information.

It didn’t seem to matter who told me what or told me what not to do, ultimately I had to find my own way.  Ironically the same thing happened with astrology which I have been studying off and on since I was sixteen years old.  Even though I spent the first ten years faithfully following a series of astrology “experts” I would always get frustrated by the missing pieces.

Over the past two years I have been combining all the Feng Shui pieces and doing my own experiments.  Interestingly I have been achieving much better and more consistent results than when I blindly followed any particular guru.  I have also been expanding my boundaries and being open to Feng Shui disciplines that before didn’t fit into the appropriate little boxes.

Hair Astrological Rulerships

Sunday, December 14th, 2008

Hair Astrological RulershipsMy best friend Michael recently told me I stay focused on hair, business, astrology and Feng Shui. If anyone starts talking to me about anything else, he claims my eyes instantly glaze over and I zone right out.

Well I beg to differ. I do love talking about football (after all I live in Dallas, Texas), food, sports cars and anything related to fashion, shoes or hair accessories.

(Image to the side of The Rulership Book written by Rex Bills from Amazon.com).

Talk to me about grubworms in the garden, how to program the TIVO or other totally mind numbing topics and I agree that I tend to zone out. As I would expect anyone to do if they’re reading a topic they find a total zzzzzzz.

I also agreed I love talking about hair (duh) and astrology. What could be better than topics on hair and astrology? When they’re discussed together. Which is what I’m doing in this blog.

When discussing hair in astrological terms or when providing intrepretations it’s important to have a complete understanding of the rulerships and correlations assigned to various hair terms.

Why would anyone care about astrological rulerships of hair? If you’re not interested in astrology, you probably won’t care at all. However, if you are into the stars, understanding rulerships provide additional levels of insight into a natal, progressed or transit chart.

Astrological rulerships also play a major role in electional and horary charts. Continue reading “Hair Astrological Rulerships” »

Finding Blog Treasures – Girlfriend Celebrations

Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

Since I promised myself I would get with the blogging program, like everything else I do, I threw myself into it 1000% percent.  Since the time I started working hard on my own blogging, I’ve been finding all sorts of great new blogs that are expanding my horizons.  I’ve been finding great blog treasures in a lot of different subject areas other than hair, beauty and fashion.  Which is a very good thing since I tend to be myopic about those topics.

Blogging has become yet another form of a scotoma for me.  I never really saw all the fabulous blogs (in my defense I do work lots of hours) on the Web until I started creating my own blog.

Recently I happened upon a very cool blog that celebrates Girlfriends.  The blog is charming, inspirational and  really got me thinking in all new directions.  The fabulous blog is called Girlfriend Celebrations.  The blog is cheerful, fun and very inspirational.

The blog is written by Dawn Williams Bertuca who is a professional writer, editor and a mother of two and Tina VanZant Bishop is a Registered Nurse, photographer, and mother of two.

These two fab girlfriends brainstorm girlfriend party ideas and spend precious “girl time” drinking coffee, dreaming, trading CDs, feng shui-ing, and thinking of all the fabulous places they will go when they get a spare moment.

Dawn and Tina honor and celebrate female friendships.   As these two women suggest “not enough women make “girlfriend” relationships a priority”.   I completely agree.  Continue reading “Finding Blog Treasures – Girlfriend Celebrations” »
