I Love Twitter - I Miss Twitter - Lost In A Twitter Catch 22 - SOS From Hairboutique.com

Let me first start by saying that HairBoutique.com is not perfect. As Founder/CEO I’m the first to admit that and I am constantly working 24/7 to improve our Internet presence and to make HB.com a warm and welcoming place for our visitors.

Our HairTalk Forum software (always accidentally or due to a software bug) will sometimes lock visitors out and throw them into a horrendous Catch22 of them trying to get a password reset and emailing them to tell them a new password is being sent but then no password reset screen link ever arrives. They keep trying until they send an SOS to HairBoutique.com Customer Care and it is manually reset for them.

We also sometimes have the same Catch22 Password Reset issue for customers and visitors to the Hairboutique.com Marketplace, HairWizard, My HairBoutique.com, The Dressing Room and other parts of Hairboutique.com which since 1997 has grown to cover over 1 million pages of content, images and related “stuff”, as I call it.

I Am A Huge Twitter Fan

Anyone reading my blog knows that I am a major Twitter fan. I Tweet to the @HairBoutique Twitter account on a daily basis and have done live Tweeting there for the Academy Awards of Hair - NAHA 2009 - as well as Cosmoprof2009 and several awards including the 2009 Independent Spirit Awards. I Tweet about everything that is appropriate to hair, beauty, fashion and feature many of the Hairboutique followers on my HairBoutique Blog. (more…)

Discovering Crème au Diamant by Gemology At Cosmoprof 2009

One of the greatest benefits of attending any of the Comsoprof Shows is the opportunity to learn about the latest product innovations for hair, skin, nails, body and beauty.

As I walked through the many exhibits at the recent 2009 Cosmoprof (held in Las Vegas, Nevada) many fabulous new and revamped products caught my eye.

Of course I am also fascinated by the various International products the US media might not know as much about.

Crème au Diamant by Gemoloy was one such European company with a fabulous product I was not acquainted with.

This amazing product naturally preserves and protects skin from the damaging effects of the environment while providing added strength from authentic diamond particle and orchid extract.  (more…)

HairBoutique.com Road Trip To Viceroy Hotel - Palm Springs

As I reported recently, the HairBoutique.com Road Trip Team consisting of myself and Marketing Director Edan Kencayd recently covered the world famous Cosmoprof 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

While we were there we also attended and covered the Internationally known NAHA 2009 hair awards.

We even had the honor of interviewing some of the impressive winners.

For some reason when Edan and I go on HairBoutique Road Trips to report on hair, beauty and fashion events, crazy things often happen.  Such was the case with our recent trip to Cosmoprof.

Due to a weird air travel snafu we found ourselves flying to Palm Springs, California instead of Las Vegas.  From Palm Springs we had to drive almost six hours to Las Vegas in the middle of pitch black desert in a sparkling white Lincoln Town Car with an extended wheel base.  Hey, I told you weird things happen to us on our HairBoutique Road Trips. Kudos To Y Public Relations For Cosmoprof And NAHA 2009

There exists in some circles the mistaken belief that covering any type of event as “media’ is a guaranteed party pass. Not so, at least the majority of media professionals.
