Elizabeth Taylor Script Gets Big Bids

Many interesting possessions of Elizabeth Taylor were auctioned off recently pulling down huge sums.  One interesting item which was auctioned off was the script for National Velvet.  The movie launched Elizabeth’s career when she was just 12 years old.

Although the script was originally thought to fetch $2,oo0 to $3,000 dollar it was sold for $170,500.  Which was a shocking amount. 

The script was sold to a private buyer and was bound in purple leather.  The entire Elizabeth Taylor auction brought in $154.2 million dollars!

Many experts suggested that the entire auction had a halo effect due to the brilliant light around her amazing career.  That halo effect is what is thought to have sent prices soaring at the frenzied auctions.

The five-day sale of her dresses, jewels and artworks fetched an incredible amount which will go to her estate.
