Lindsey Vonn won the hearts of fans for her spellbinding Olympic ski runs.  Vonn followed up her amazing performance at the Olympics by posing in a revealing bikini in Sports Illustrated.  Now she’s in the news for her alleged relationship with Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow.

Vonn is fighting the rumors.  Although she sat in the Tebow family box during Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears she is claiming to be just friends with the controversial Tebow.   Vonn’s rep claims she is not dating the miracle Denver Broncos football player who once announced he was “saving himself for marriage.”

Tebow and Vonn triggered rumors by handing out together at the ESPYs and at various ski events.  Vonn has been photographed with Tebow on more than one occasion.   Vonn herself tweeted “Hearing a lot of crazy rumors but rest assured I am not dating Tim Tebow (or anyone else).”

Vonn recently announced she was divorcing her husband of four years Thomas Vonn.  The rumors are running rampant online with one site claiming that Tebow factored into Vonn’s decision to divorce.

Following Sunday’s game, Vonn wrote in the Denver Post: “A lot of people are wondering what’s up with me and the Tebows. I’m just friends with the family. I met Tim and his brother Pete at the ESPY Awards like three or four years ago in the gym — we were working out there.  “I spent more time with Tim and his brother at the V Foundation Golf Tournament, and this year at the ESPYs.”

The problem with celebrity denials is that often they turn out to be something other than what is presented to the public.  There is a long list of celebrities who claimed to not be involved with other celebrities who wound up marrying them.  No names mentioned of course.  But you know what I mean.
