Melissa McCarthy Hair How To

Melissa McCarthy Hair How To Melissa McCarthy Hair How To Melissa McCarthy Hair How To

Melissa McCarthy Hair How ToMelissa McCarthy (born August 26, 1970) was spectacular as Sooki St. James on Gilmore Girls from 2001 to 2007, as Dena on Samantha Who from 2007 to 2009 and Molly on Mike & Molly from 2010 until the present.

The actress, who is the cousin of Jenny McCarthy, literally stole the hit movie, Bridesmaids, which was released in the Summer of 2011.

I am a huge fan of Melissa’s, having first fallen in love with her as Sookie.  Gilmore Girls is my go-to guilty pleasure.

While some might grab a pint of chocolate chip ice cream or pour a big glass of red wine to recover from a hard day, I pop in one of my Gilmore Girl CDs and gorge on Sookie, Lorelei, Rory, Luke and company.   They never fail to ease my pain.

Emmy Nomination For Best Actress In A Comedy

The beauty of Melissa is that none of her character portrayals are ever the same.  Her goofy, accident prone, naive Sooki is a far cry from her calm, practical and mature Molly.  Even better, her Bridesmaids character was a delightful departure from any of her well-known TV characters.

Melissa McCarthy Hair How ToMelissa McCarthy definitely deserves an Emmy and is nominated for one for Best Actress in A Comedy for 2011.

Will she win?  Hard to say since the competition is pretty intense.  Whether she wins or not, Melissa is a doll and her hairstyles always reflect her sweet sunny personality which shines through on her interviews.

Melissa McCarthy’s Hair How To

Unlike some TV actresses, it’s not as common to read about Melissa McCarthy’s hair.

Why?  Because she usually embodies the average all-American Midwest girl with minimal make-up and low maintenance hairstyles.  In all of her roles, as well as in her off-camera life Melissa wears her naturally textured hair in no muss, no fuss styles.

Besides having a sizzling acting career, Melissa is married and has two children.  She’s a busy mom and that might reflect her laid back hair, make-up and fashions.

Melissa McCarthy Hair How ToStep By Step How To

It appears that Melissa has fine to medium thick hair with a pattern of loose natural waves and curls.

The funny lady generally wears her brunette tresses either pull up and off her hairline on one side or pinned back on one side.

On Mike & Molly she wears her hair with loose waves and curls cascading from the top of her ear lobes.

Follow steps below to copy:

1) Start  by cleansing hair in lukewarm water with shampoo designed to address your hair type, texture and current condition (dry, extra dry, oily, damaged, etc.,)  If appropriate consider doing a Diluted Shampoo (DS), Conditioner Only (CO) or similar wash.
Melissa McCarthy Hair How To2.  Rinse well and then apply rinse out conditioner from top of ears down to the ends.
3.  Detangle individual horizontal sections of hair with fingers or a wide tooth comb.  Work around the head from side to side.
4.  Towel blot hair to remove excess moisture.  Do not rub hair.
5.  Apply leave-in styling cocktail including, but not limited to detangling spray, leave-in conditioner, defrisant and/ore styling cream or mousse.
6.  Use fingers or wide tooth comb to distribute the leave-in styling cocktail through the strands.
7.  Separate hair into 2-3″ horizontal sections and dry with a long finger diffuser attachment attached to a blow dryer with a low heat, slow air flow setting.  After each section is dry roll the section around your finger and pin to form a ringlet.  Work around the head from side to side until entire head has been diffused dry.
8.  When hair is completely dry and set unpin each section.  Bend over at the waist and gently tousle hair to loosen.
Melissa McCarthy Hair How To9.  To fine tune waves and/or curls separate hair into 1 to 1 1/2″ sections and curl with a  1″ barrel iron.  Hold the iron vertically and wrap around the outside of the iron.  Hold for a few seconds and then release.   Repeat this process with all sections of hair.
10.  Lightly brush out curls with fingers or a paddle style brush. Finish the look with shine enhancing hair spray for all-day hold.  Or apply 1-2 drops of shine serum into the palms of your hands, massage together and then finger pick through strands or swipe over the top of your tresses.
