Shenae Grimes With Wavy Hairstyle

Shenae Grimes Hair

Shenae Grimes (born October 24, 1989) currently portrays the role of Annie Wilson on 90210, a spinoff of Beverly Hills, 90210. While famous for her ongoing role on the CW Network, she is adored by fans for her hair. Her hair is long, lush and often wave enhanced.

Shenae has been consistent about keeping her hair long and lush, but she’s changed up the color from her trademark light chocolate brown to a recent deep dark chocolate which she then had dipped a lighter brunette along the edges.

Prior to her famous turn as Annie she played Darcy Edwards on Degrassi: The Next Generation. She was also a recurring guest star on the series Naturally, Sadie, and had a cameo role in the horror film Scream 4.

She also appeared in Picture This with her former Degrassi: The Next Generation co-star Lauren Collins and Ashley Tisdale and then in True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet alongside singer JoJo.

In 2009, Grimes was named one of the world’s most beautiful peopl, without makeup, by People magazine. She also appeared in a music video for rock band Our Lady Peace’s single “All You Did Was Save My Life”. Continue reading “Shenae Grimes Hair” »

Evan Rachel Wood Adds Curls To Short HaircutEvan Rachel Wood Adds Curls To Short Haircut

Actress Evan Rachel Wood (born  September 7, 1987) showed off yet another unique hairstyle carved into her short pixie haircut at the Ides of March premiere in Beverly Hills.  It was a retro look which evoked memories of David Bowie back in the day.

Her curled short hairstyle worked in harmony with her menswear fashion which rocked the Red Carpet.  The 24 year old actress who has made news for her recent work in Mildred Pierce is enjoying a sizzling acting career.

She has grabbed headlines recently for her discussion of her bisexuality, her drastic chopping of her previously long tresses into a shockingly short cut and her latest acting roles.

One of the key challenges for hair when you go as short as Evan Rachel is keeping it fresh and interesting.  When hair is cut into a short pixie, chop or crop like Evan Rachel’s there are different parameters then when hair is medium or longer.

Super short hair like Evan Rachel’s can’t be instantly changed with clip-in or fusion style extensions without a lot of effort because the natural base hair is too short to anchor longer extension locks.  Even clip-ins require some hair length for a seamless transition. A Hair Dryer History

A Hair Dryer History

Conair Nano Blowdryer Set

Hair Dryers, are hot hair tools which are a key component of the hair care and hair styling industry.  Hair Dryers are any type of tool which contains any type of blower which dries hair.  Utilizing this idea, a fan, a hand dryer or a variety of other blowers could actually be considered a hair dryer.

Invention Of The Hair Dryer

The vacuum cleaner was the initial inspiration for the creation of the hairdryer in use today.  Before hair dryers were in existence, men and women commonly dried their hair using vacuum cleaner hoses.

The original vacuum cleaner was invented in 1890 by Alexandre Goldefroy for use in his French hair salon.   Goldefroy’s hair dryer was an unsophisticated version of what’s available in modern times.

The Goldefroy hair dryer was rigged up so that a man or woman could sit underneath it.  It was not portable in any way and it was not handheld.

1920s Introduction Of Handheld Hand Dryers

In 1920 the US Racine Universal Motor Company as well as the Hamilton Beach Company created handheld hand dryers, eventually referred to as blow dryers, which were released to the professional and consumer hair market.   Although a step in the right direction, the new portable hairdryers were heavy and challenging to use.  In fact, the hair dryers could weigh up to 2 pounds.  Obviously they could be exhausting to use when drying a lot of hair.
