Grace Phipps Hair How To From Nine Lives Of Chloe King
Grace Phipps plays Amy, Chloe King’s best friend on the new ABC Family hit, The Nine Lives Of Chloe King. Not only is she Chloe’s BFF, she is a spoiled little rich girl who’s also dating Chloe’s other best friend, Paul (Ki Hong Lee).
The three of them grew up together. Now Amy and Paul are Chloe’s sidekicks. Amy has had to adjust to Chloe’s special powers, but at the end of the day, the two are closer then ever.
Phipps is a relatively newcomer to the acting game. The beautiful brunette recently graduated from North East School of the Arts, a highly regarded school for the arts, in San Antonio, TX, where she starred in several theatre productions including Grease and A Little Night Music.
In 2011, Phipps appeared in the Dreamworks feature Fright Night, starring Colin Farrell.

Grace’s base hair color is listed as black on her biography, but for her role on Chloe King her hair appears lighter. As the character of Amy, Grace has a base hair color which is a gorgeous rich auburn brown with beautiful milk chocolate highlights and darker chocolate low lights.
Her below-the-shoulders hair is fine to medium in thickness and appears to be bone straight in texture. It doesn’t appear that she has much bend to her hair. Her hair is layered, especially around her hairline. She wears her hair in a variety of hairstyles which work with her many amazing fashion choices. The character of Amy is an edgy and fashion forward.
Sometimes Grace wears her hair brushed off her hairline from a short off-center part. This gives her hair the look of looks of lush texture. Other times she wears her hair with a crooked part with the top section of her hair brushed over to one side. She also wears some adorable knit caps.

Step By Step Instructions On How To Copy Grace’s Hairstyle
Although Grace doesn’t wear a fringe presently, her hair could be worn that way. She doesn’t usually wear a precision part, but tends to prefer messy or off-center lines.
Follow the steps below to copy Grace’s beautiful straight hairstyle:
Pre-Wash
Start by detangling hair with fingers, wide tooth comb or a 100% boar bristle brush to remove knots, snarls and tangle.
Cleanse
Wash hair in lukewarm water with the shampoo product designed for your hair type, texture and condition. If you wish, utilize your unique washing program ranging from full shampoo to Diluted Shampoo (DS), low poo, Conditioner Only Wash (CO Wash), no poo or water only.
Note: If your hair is colored like Grace’s hair, it would be best to use a shampoo product designed to protect colored hair. It might be best to dilute a color maintenance shampoo designed to enhance auburn tresses.
Rinse out shampoo completely, apply a rinse out conditioner from the tops of the ears down to the ends and detangle with a wide tooth comb or fingers.
Rinse well and then finish with a cool or cold water rinse. Towel blot (don’t rub) to remove excess moisture.
Post-Wash
Apply your designed styling cocktail into your hair working through with fingers or a wide tooth comb. A good styling cocktail might consist of, but not be limited to, leave-in conditioner, defristant, styling mousse, volumizing spray for roots or similar. If you want to amp up the volume you may also wish to apply a volume enhancing root spray.
Dry
If hair naturallydries bone straight you can allow hair to air dry. Or if you prefer, use either a 100% boar bristle paddle or round brush on individual sections of hair.
Separate hair into 8-10 individual sections and work on each section at a time. Once the hair is completely dry, roll into a loose barrel curl around your fingers and pin against your scalp to set and cool.
If you prefer more texture, use a long finger diffuser working through individual sections at a time. After each section is dry, roll into a spiral or ringlet curl and pin against your scalp to set.
Style
Unpin all sections of hair after it’s completely dry. Use a flat iron on 1-2″ sections at a time. Run the iron through the strands from roots to ends, a few times to achieve bone straight strands. If you wish for more waves then use a curling iron instead.
Once tresses are ironed to your desired texture, use fingers to gently fluff. Apply 1-2 drops of shine serum into the palms of your hands.
