Butt-Length Hair Is A Glamour Don’t
According to the April 2011 issue of Glamour Magazine, 74% of the readers on glamour.com think butt-length hair is a big don’t.
Glamour Magazine said “you can braid it, you can sell it and it would certainly help you escape from a high tower like fairy tale’s Rapunzel. But for those of us in the real world, superlong hair is a don’t.”
In the world of long hair the definition of butt-length hair is known as Classic Length. The definition of Classic Length Hair is hair that reaches where one’s legs meet his or her buttocks.
Long Hair Lengths
Other long hair lengths, other than Classic Length, which might be construed as butt-length hair is:
Waist length – hair which falls at the smallest part of one’s waist, a little bit above the hip bones.
Tailbone length – hair which extends to the area of one’s tailbone.
Thigh length – hair which extends to the mid-thigh.
Butt-Length Hair
Currently my own hair is between Classic Length (aka butt length) and thigh length. It’s been at that length for many years at my own choice.
While some people may feel that butt-length hair is a don’t, I love my long hair, take very good care of it and appreciate it. Of course everyone has their own opinions about what is a glamour do or don’t and that’s the beauty of what makes the world go round.
At the end of the day everyone should wear their hair exactly how they love to wear it. Regardless of the texture, length, hair color or style.
Afterall, it’s your hair and you should enjoy it and take pride in it.
