Last Wednesday American Idol Judge Jennifer Lopez asked finalist Scotty McCreary to do her a favor.  She said “can I make a little request?  Will you shave your head for the finale like you had it the first time (when you tried out for American Idol)?”

Scotty tapped the side of his head and said “yeah, yeah, SHDC (short hair don’t care).”

Jennifer looked around and said “am I the only one who loved him with that short hair and those rosy cheeks?”  Then Jennifer said “you don’t have to, you don’t have to” and Scotty said “I would love to do that for you.”

Randy Jackson jumped in and said “What’s going on here? I think Jennifer was just saying Scotty she would kiss you” and the very conservative Scotty who struggled with Lady Gaga as a mentor looked shocked and said “well hey.”

Jennifer corrected Randy “that’s not what I said.  I’m a married woman, I’m a married woman.”  Randy said “I like the short hair too. As you can tell” and he pointed to his own shaved style haircut.

Scotty said “hey man SHDC.  Randy said “short hair I don’t are.  I like that.  Well look man.”

Ryan Seacrest said to Scotty “we do have trimmers back stage.  Randy has trimmers.  What do you think of that?”  Scotty said “hey, I’m down.”  Randy said “we can buzz you down dude.”  Scotty “I like that.”  Ryan chimmed in “maybe Steven (which his long hair) will come along for the ride.”  Steven was shaking his head as if to say no way.

Then Randy started giving Ryan some dish about Ryan waxing and that was the end of that thread.

One interesting thing to note about this entire conversation between Jennifer and Scotty.  Jennifer was talking about Scotty shaving his head for the finales.  Did she know something the rest of didn’t know?

Afterall, the eliminations down to the final two didn’t happen until the next evening but sure enough, Scotty was one of the two finalists with Lauren Alaina.
