Hot New Make-up Trends For Spring 2011
Makeup Trends For Spring 2011
Bobbi Thomas was on the Friday, April 1st Today Show (on NBC) talking about the latest make-up trends for Spring 2011. Bobbi pointed out that everyone is so anxious for Spring to kick in that they are pulling out big, bold colors to kick it off.
Bobbi noted that for Spring 2011 make-up is all about color. Big, bold, color. Bobbie showed off all the latest cosmetics including:
Eye Shadow
Although it may seem a tad scary, blue eye shadow is back and it’s big. Bobbi pointed out the best blue eye shadows are in the wet/dry version available from YSL, Elf or Maybelline, to name a few.
Wet/dry is best because it means you can apply it either wet or dry, but it prevents too much color transfer or powder flying everywhere. It definitely provides more control over traditional eye shadows that are not wet/dry. Not only will you not over apply color but you can mix better with wet/dry formulations.
Blush Bold Blush
Big bold blushed cheeks were on the recent fashion runways. Bobbi noted Stilla has a blush that will custom color to your own natural skin tone and your personal pH balance. It automatically adjusts on your cheeks to create the perfect color.
Estee Lauder also has a new blush with is ombre meaning that you can instantly go from light to dark.
Lips
Clinique has a fabulous new lip plumper called Chubby sticks which are great because you can apply them without a mirror. They’re really soft with a great texture. They’re a cross between a great gloss and a lipstick so if you like lip gloss but also want a lipstick, the Chubby Sticks are perfect for creating a plump lip with color and shine combined.
Chanel’s New Rouge Coco Shine
Chanel also has a new lip gloss. Available in 18 shades infused with vitality and freshness, Rouge Coco Shine dresses your lips with a subtle gloss effect and incomparable comfort. Rouge Coco Shine is not available as of 4/1/11.
It will be on Chanel’s Facebook on a pop-up store for 2 days before they are launched. They’re a combination of a plumper, gloss and lipstick. They’re called Rouge Coco Shine. The Chanel stick will be launched April 6th but on April 4th they will be available on their Facebook Page.

The biggest organ in our body is the skin. The weight of this body organ for an normal sized grown-up weighs almost six pounds. This represents almost two times the weight of an individual’s brain or liver. This is really a shocker for many people whom never thought of our skin as being an organ. As you can imagine, our skin is an important part of your body because it covers more than 97 percent of our body and provides shielding to all our body organs and parts. Lacking it, our veins, internal organs, muscle tissues and some bones would come in contact with the effects of mother nature and different viruses and microorganisms.
