Ted Gibson Identifies Hottest Celebrity Hair Makeovers

Ted Gibson Identifies Hottest Celebrity Hair MakeoversCelebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson can spot a great celebrity hair makeover with one eye closed.  Maybe because Ted is the makeover master.  He has personally transformed a long list of celebrities from a so-so looks to mouth-dropping, eye popping visions of beauty.

If you don’t believe me, check out the October 25th issue of Us Weekly where Ted shares detailed makeover secrets of what works and what doesn’t for Glee’s Lea Michele, film divas Carey Mulligan, Katherine Heigl and Twilight’s Ashley Greene.  Ted also weighs in on Nicole Richie and Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester.

I have to say I completely agreed with all of Ted’s comments, but at times I couldn’t quite put my finger on why the transformation was a success.  Case in point was Twilight’s Ashley Greene.

While I didn’t think her “Before” highlights were heinous, I couldn’t quite figure out what was missing.  Ted nailed it when he said Ashley’s blonde highlights looked “too dramatic for her fine features.”  With her “After” tone on tone brunette Ted pointed out “this brunette shade is rich and makes her complexion look creamy”.

Indeed.  I had never noticed how great her skin and her eyes look without the highlights but he is completely right.  Of course who would expect anything less from this master of anything hair?  Not me.

Pick up the October 25th issue of Us Magazine and check out pages 78-79 for Ted’s makeover wisdom.
