Kelly Osbourne Doesn’t Want To Be Prettiest Girl In World, She Just Wants To Like Herself

Ellen recently welcomed a beautiful blonde Kelly Osbourne on her daytime talk show wearing big bouffant hair, a chocolate brown long sleeved sweater, a short black leather skits and a beautiful cross statement necklace. Of course Kelly was also wearing spectacular heels.

Ellen pointed out that since Kelly first appeared on her show her life has changed in so many ways. The talk show hostess said “I feel like the whole Dancing With The Stars show was a big turning point.”
Kelly agreed “it was. It changed my life so much.” Ellen asked her how.
The Osbourne daughter said “the weight loss is a plus, but what it did was it gave me the confidence to look in the mirror and not hate what I see. And that’s something out of everything I’ve gone through and everything that’s changed to me is the biggest deal. Out of anything. Like you can lose weight, but if you don’t like what you see you’re never going to be happy. And it’s finding that confidence within myself to kinda accept….”
Kelly paused and said “I don’t want to be the prettiest girl in the world, I just want to like myself.” Ellen asked “what all of a sudden made you change your opinion of yourself?”
Kelly reflected and answered “well it was a little bit of dedication, of working hard for what I wanted and achieving my goals in life.” She noted “and not just sitting at home and not doing anything about it and wondering why I didn’t like myself. You have to put action in and you have to wake up and set yourself little small goals and stick to it.”
Kelly continued “I know I probably sound like a motivational speaker compared to how miserable I used to be and how unhappy I used to be with myself, I’ll take this any day.”
Kelly’s Crazy Life
Ellen “I’m happy to hear that because you’ve had a crazy life.” Kelly agreed “it’s been really crazy” and “really, really exciting. And just every day is so exciting for me now. Whereas before it used to be ‘no, I don’t want to get out of bed.’”
Kelly Is Pulling For Bristol Palin On DWTS
Kelly admitted she’s still following Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) even though she’s no longer part of the show. She said she’s “obsessed with it this season.” Ellen asked the younger Osbourne daughter who she liked in the current DWTS season.
Kelly said “I have a really soft spot for Sarah Palin’s daughter. I really do. I think she’s (Bristol) going out there and she’s trying.” Addressing the fact Sarah Palin was not in the audience when Bristol performed Kelly said “to not have a family member in the audience is like the hardest thing in the world because half of that show is family support. And to go out there that first week and not have anyone there. I mean everyone looking at you, I give her so much credit. I really do.”
Ellen asked Kelly if she thought it would be distracting to the audience if Sarah Palin had been in the audience? She also asked if when Kelly’s mom was in the audience if that was distracting as well. Kelly said “oh no, anything to have them not looking at me.”
Ellen said “well we’re supposed to be looking at you. We’re judging.” Kelly agreed.
Kelly’s Recent Romantic Break-up
Ellen asked Kelly about her recent breakup. The new E Fashion Police commenter said “it’s the hardest thing I’ve had to deal with in a long time and I’m not over it.” She said “and for awhile a small part of me still wants to be with him, but it’s not right.” Kelly explained “and the best your relationship is every going to be is how it is when you’re dating and we weren’t happy anymore and I had to go to the next step in my life and so did he and unfortunately…..”
Ellen asked if this was the first time Kelly had her heart broken. Kelly said “the second. This one sucked way more. This sucked way more because I was going to marry him. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. And a part of me still really doe,s but there’s a big part of me that doesn’,t because I need a man who’s going to stand next to me and say ‘I don’t care what anyone else says that’s my girlfriend, shut up.’”
Not many people will do that. When asked if she was currently dating Kelly said she’s not interested in dating right now and is not doing so. She also told Ellen she’s not dating actor Chace Crawford and she’s never met him even thought there were rumors that she and Chace were together. Kelly said she doesn’t even remember ever meeting Chace and if she did she must have been drunk of something.
Kelly also said “I have a big mouth” and girls are not supposed to speak up. She noted her outspoken personality can be offputting for many guys. However, the beautiful blonde made it clear she doesn’t want to be a “trophy girl”. She doesn’t want to just “get all dressed up and hang on someone’s arm” looking pretty. That’s not her style at all.
Performing With The Pussycat Dolls
The reality star admitted she just did The Pussycat Dolls show. She said “the weirdest part was not dancing and singing in her underwear” but the weirdest part was singing. She said “there are very people she actually sings in front of.” Kelly reported that people thought she was “lip syncing.” She was very happy about that because “she was signing in her real voice and not lip syncing at all.”
It seems that Kelly Osbourne really does like herself.
