Madonna’s Personal Philosophy On Beauty And Style
In the June 18th edition of Us Magazine in 2008 Madonna was quoted as saying “I don’t think of myself as a great beauty. But I think of myself as stylish.”
Obviously Madonna has style as demonstrated by her very successful design debut for Swedish retailer H&M in the past.

Now Madonna has taken her stylish self into the world of fashion with her own Material Girls line which will be available exclusively in 200 Macy’s stores starting on August 3, 2010.
The fashion range is said to be the combined design of Madonna, her daughter Lourdes and Iconic Brand Group’s in-house fashion department. All the items in the fashion range are expected to cost under $40.
The very first photos of the anticipated Material Girl line were released recently by Macy’s and provides lots of teasers about what the full line will look like. Initial images indicate a strong 1980s influence which ties back to Madonna’s early fashion trends.
The Material Girl line will come completely with fingerless gloves, leggings dubbed as jeggings, bustier style dresses and star prints.
The Material Girl press release points to a strong focus on mixing and matching all of the items in the line as well as amping up the looks with combat boots, oversized boyfriend sweatshirts and a range of miniskirts.
