Why Hilary Duff Was Red In The Face
It was recently reported by the media and the swarms of bloggers that actress, musician, songwriter and all-around fashion plate, Hilary Duff, was embarrassed by proposal pictures snapped at the moment after her finance Mike Comrie surprised her with a proposal. She insisted to the media that the photos were “awful.”

Hilary was caught during a romantic vacation to Hawaii on her hotel balcony taking a photo of her stunning engagement ring on her cell phone.
The star admits she was horrified to see the covert snaps. She told Hollywoodlife.com, “It was awful. We had no idea they (the paparazzi) were there; it was weird. I hated that I was taking a picture of my ring and sending it to my mom!”
She adds, “We want to keep it small. (Mike)’s like, ‘Whatever you want!
Lizzie Becomes An Author
It was recently announced that Hilary, known as loved as Lizzie Maguire, has just signed a multi-book deal with Simon & Schuster to produce a series of young adult novels, the first of which is titled “Elixir” and will hit stores in October.
According to a release from the publisher, the book “combines the overpowering allure of a dangerous love triangle with thrilling international adventure.”

Duff’s protagonist is a globe-trotting photojournalist who is attempting to unravel the mystery of her father’s disappearance. “I’ve always love the escape of a great book, especially one that features a strong, inspiring female character you feel you really understand,” says Duff.
The former teen icon will also be writing a nonfiction book about divorce and its effect on children, which is slated for a Spring 2012 release.
No Surprise At Hilary’s Embarrassment
Hilary was the cover girl on Lucky Magazine for the April 2008 issue. She made it clear that she is one of those women who thinks about every single aspect of an outfit before she puts it on.
The actress/singer told Lucky “I’m very particular about the structure, texture, and detail of all my clothes.” Can you imagine someone who is particular about the details of even the cocktail ring she wears being photographed without warning in Hawaii.
