Does winning an Oscar for Best Actress bring a marital curse?  First there was talk that Kate Winslet and her husband were divorcing and now there is the news that recent Oscar winner Sandra Bullock’s husband, Jesse James, has publicly admitted to involvement with another woman although he does not admit to an affair.

West Coast Choppers CEO, Jesse James. told People magazine he used “poor judgment” and asked his family to “forgive me.”

Jesse’s apology follows recent claims from tattoo model Michelle “Bombshell” McGee that she allegedly had a year-long affair with the Monster Truck man while the beautiful Sandra was on location making “The Blind Side.”  Ms. McGee has told the media she has the sex filled text messages to prove all of her claims against Mr. James.

According to the NY Daily News, the texts are now in the hands of a weekly tabloid.  According to reports, some of the texts are dated as recently as March 14 which is mere days after Sandra won her Best Actress Oscar with her proud husband by her side. 

In fact, Sandra made a point of thanking her husband during her acceptance speech.  She has been very vocal publicly about her love for her husband.

In his statement to the media, Jesse James who is a custom motorcycle manufacturer and a well-known reality TV star, took responsibility for his actions, but stopped short of admitting that he had an affair with McGee.  “It’s because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way,” James said in a statement to People.

“This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them. I am truly very sorry for the grief I have caused them. I hope one day they can find it in their hearts to forgive me.”

The apology comes one day after Bullock abruptly dropped out of the London premiere of her film “The Blind Side,” due to “unforseen personal reasons.”

Warner Brother Release

Warner Brothers released the following statement from the Academy Award winning actress:

“Due to unforeseen personal reasons a trip abroad to support “The Blind Side” has been deemed impossible at this time. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your continued support of the film.”

Bullock has reportedly moved out of the home she shared with James.  Many in Hollywood say the news is a surprise after seeing the couple together during the recent awards season.

Bullock “is old-school Hollywood,” James told PEOPLE magazine at the Oscars on March 7 just after her win.  “Nobody deserves this more and works harder. I’m so proud of her.”
