Iconic Emo Boy Pete Wentz has been going through a lot of changes over the past two years including getting married to Ashlee Simpson, becoming a new father, cutting off his signature Emo hair locks and now taking a break from his band, Fall Out Boy (F.O.B).

Pete has decided being a good dad to his baby son Bronx is much more important than being a Fall Out Boy.  The Emo rocker recently caught a flight to Miami to DJ the launch of new Tide and Febreze Freshness Sport at the W Hotel.

“We’re just on a break,” he told me of F.O.B.’s current status. “I think that after having Bronx, and with my wife having this much of a workload right now (Ashlee is headlining on Broadway), it has been such a good thing for me. There’s nothing I wanna be better at in the world than being a dad.”

When asked by the media if he would be fine if Fall Out Boy ended for good Pete said “Before, it was like I might not be okay if Fall Out Boy doesn’t come back,” he said “But I think I’ll be okay. It’s too soon to say (whether they’ll come back). We (the band) just got burned out.”

While he’s not performing with F.O.B. right now, Pete worked the turntables at the Tide bash complete with celebs Serena Williams, Kellan Lutz and Terrell Owens.

Ashlee Simpson Wentz was co-starring on The CW’s 90210 TV series but left suddenly.  She then agreed to headline a Broadway Show in New York.  Pete and Bronx have been spending a lot of time in New York with Ashlee.

Pete has been Tweeting about his feelings regarding F.O.B.  He tweeted “cant imagine playing in fob again. something would have to change in my head or my heart- not my wallet.”

Later on he tweeted: “dont you get it? a hiatus is forever until you get lonely or old. i dont plan on either.”  Pete revealed  “it is no1s fault ppl grow apart,” and then: “not gonna speak to anything publicly about the band internally. my brothers 2 the grave. thnx 4 being there from day 1.”

FOB lead singer Patrick Stump is putting out a solo album and. Pete himself recorded a track with Blink-182′s Mark Hoppus for the Alice in Wonderland soundtrack.

Only time will tell what happens next with Pete, F.O.B, Patrick Stump and friends.  At least we have Twitter to track their path.  Right?
