Jason Mesnick, 33, the “most hated Bachelor” in ABC’s Bachelor TV history announced in October of 2009 that he and bachelorette Molly Malaney were engaged.

Jason sealed the deal with a dazzling Neil Lane ring.  It was unclear if Jason popped for the ring himself or ABC did.  Regardless of who paid the bill, the ring was stunning.

Many fans and members of the media wondered if the engagement was just a ploy for “Bachelor” damage control since so many fans and viewers turned on Jason when he dumped Melissa Rycroft, his original choice, for runner-up, Molly.

If you’re not a fan of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) you probably don’t know who Karina Smirnoff is.

If you do follow the reality celebrity dancing show, you know that the gorgeous Karina was one of the popular professional dancers paired up with a range of celebrities over the past few years including last season’s Aaron Carter and fan favorite, Steve Wozcniak from Season 8.

Karina recently hit a rough patch when her engagement to Maksim Chmerkovskiy ended on a sour note while the two professional dancers continued to perform on the ABC hit show.

Although rumors were rampant the two professional dancers were not getting along well after the end of their engagement, the official word from ABC was that they could still work and dance together without any problems because they were professionals.

Music star Marie Osmond’s son, Michael Blosil, 18, committed suicide on Friday evening (February 26, 2010) in Los Angeles, CA.  Michael’s father is Brian Blosil, Marie’s ex-husband.

It was reported that Marie’s son had jumped from his downtown apartment building at approximately 9 PM.  According to details from ET Online the Los Angeles Fire Department was quickly dispatched after receiving a phone call and found a body believed to be Blosil’s upon arrival.

Marie’s son left a suicide note in which he cited a life-long battle with depression as the reason for his suicide.  Marie and her ex-husband, Brian, adopted Michael.  Following their divorce after 20 years of marriage, Michael became depressed and in November 2007, entered rehab.

“Those kinds of things are really very hard for a teenager to deal with,” Osmond told PEOPLE in March of 2009. “And if he ever wants to talk about it … he will, but it has to be their choice. It’s not my choice.”  She went on to say that Michael was doing quite well, saying she “couldn’t be more proud of him” and that “he’s got a 3.9 GPA in high school. He’s looking at scholarships to some wonderful colleges.”

Marie gave a statement in which she said “my family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time.”  Marie and Donnie, who both have been contestants on Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) are currently performing in Las Vegas at the Flamingo but the show has been temporarily cancelled until after the funeral.

According to ET, an autopsy on the body will be conducted immediately.

Adee was one of the unique personalities on Shear Genius 3. He became known as a drama queen with a bad temper and attitude.  At times he seemed totally out of his league not knowing how to do some of the most simple hairdressing techniques ranging from warming up virgin hair color to styling hair.

Although he made friends with Brian and won sympathy from Janine Jarman and Matthew, he stumbled through all of the competitions.

In the first episode when the various stylists were introduced Adee, who dressed in a range of t-shirts with suspenders and a shaved head said “My name is Adee from London  I gave David Beckham one of his most famous hairstyles and it set me up in my career.”

In essence Adee’s statement about David Beckham’s haircut was the foundation of the troubles he had in the Shear Genius 3 competition.  He also did more than his share of cursing, whining, kicking things and melting down.  While it made for good reality TV, it didn’t help him survive past the fourth week.

Adee noted a lot of celebrity hairdressers from London didn’t want to try out for this competition because they worried if it didn’t turn out well it might reflect on their careers.  He pointed out “for me you’ve got to gamble.  I’m a gambler.”

Punk To Polished Short Cut Challenge

Right out out of the gate Adee struggled.  In the very first Short Cut challenge he had a hard time with the Punk To Polished look.  Adee was the second to last stylist to be allowed to pick one of the models which he pointed out to the camera.  When his work was finished it was nothing special.

The first set of clients were billed as “being ready to make a drastic change” in their hairstyles and looking for “a more refined” look.  The goal was to create a more glamorous style.  The stylists were judged on the overall transformation of the clients. Men With World’s Longest Hair In Guinness World Records Dies

A man who was thought to have the world’s longest hair has died.

China’s Xie Qiuping is on record as having the world’s longest hair, measured at 5.6 metres in 2004, according to the Guinness World Records.  The exact length of Tran Van Hay’s unwashed hair was unclear, but some estimates put it as long as 6.8 metres.

Hay began to let his hair grow more than 50 years ago because he often got sick after a haircut, the Vietnam News quoted his wife, Nguyen Thi Hoa, as saying.

Media reports said he lived a simple life as a herbalist, but his hair could complicate things. Reports said no motorcycle taxi would carry him because he could not wear a helmet. In the daytime he balanced his hair on his head like a basket, protected by a scarf.

Hay, whose hair weighed several pounds, died at home Wednesday in the southern province of Kien Giang at the age of 79, Vietnam News said.
