Anna Paquin, 27, looked gorgeous in a long flowing gold Stella McCartney gown with a sexy plunging neckline and an even sexier slit up the front of her gown to her knees.  The gold gown was metallic with a blinding shimmer.  Her accessories included vintage jewels from Stephen Russell.

Anna’s fiance (HBO True Blood co-star) Stephen Moyer wore a handsome custom-tailored black tuxedo, dress shirt and shoes which were all by Burberry.

E!’s Ryan Seacrest snagged a Red Carpet interview with Anna and Stephen.  At one point Anna and Ryan tangled when Ryan persisted in trying to get either Anna or Stephen to reveal when their working relationship turned to love.  Stephen wised pointed to Anna to answer Ryan’s questions and she was no nonsense.  “No comment” she said more than once.

Ryan did get Stephen to share how he proposed to Anna.  Well sort of.  His explanation was a little garbled.  After leaving their oddly uncomfortable interview with Ryan, the blonde vampire, Sookie Stackhouse, went on to lose in all three of her Golden Globe categories.

She lost Best Drama to Mad Men, Best Actress to The Good Wife’s Julianna Margulies, who was very deserving and Best Actress in a Mini-Series or TV movie to Grey Gardens’ Drew Barrymore.  This is Anna’s second successive Golden Globe miss for Best Drama.

Although Anna was golden, she didn’t take home the gold.  Better luck next time Anna.
