Kings Of Leon Promise Shots After Show To Thank Those For Winning Grammy Record Of The Year

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

The Grammy for Record Of The Year went to the group Kings Of Leon for ‘Use Somebody’ and was presented to them by Beatle Ringo Starr and the gorgeous Nora Jones.

As the band was walking towards the stage to accept their Grammy the cameras panned to the beautiful Fergie of Black Eyed Peas who was nominated in this category but did not win.  Fergie was smiling and applauding and on her feet.

The members of the band all went on stage and Caleb Followill said “I’m not going to lie, we’re a little drunk.  But we’re happy drunks.  We have a lot of people we’re supposed to thank, but I’m going to let him do it.”  He then stepped aside for his brother to speak.

He said “thank you fans, first of all.  Amazing.  We have the best fans in the world.  Thank you.  Thank you family.  Thank you to our wonderful producers and our great label and whoever else I forgot I’ll buy you shots after wards.”

About The Band

The music then started to play, the lights went dark and the band was ushered off the stage.  Kings of Leon is a well-known American rock band that started in Nashville, Tennessee in 1999.

The music band consists of brothers Anthony Caleb Followill (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Ivan Nathan Followill (drums, percussion, backing vocals) and Michael Jared Followill (bass guitar, backing vocals), with their cousin Cameron Matthew Followill (lead guitar, backing vocals).

The other unique thing about their band is that band members are known by his middle name (second given name) as opposed to his first given name.

Juanes, looking very dark and very handsome said “thank you Kaley but I think I speak for all the serious people in the world when I say there are many times where we all need a laugh from very funny people like yourself.”

Kaley said “awwww, well thank you.  So now, for those of us like me who can’t really sing or play, a funny Grammy award category that doesn’t necessarily require a musical talent.” Continue reading “Kaley Cuoco And Juanes Present Best Comedy Album Grammy Award” »
