John Mayer Redirects Life Focus To Music Career
32-year-old singer, songwriter and all around performer John Mayer has been a darling of the tabloids over the last few years due to his growing reputation as a Romeo due to his string of highly publicized relationships with Friends beauty Jennifer Aniston who he appeared with at the 2009 Oscars to reality star Jessica Simpson and actress Jennifer Love Hewitt.

John’s relationship with Jennifer Aniston was on again, off again and now reportedly completely off. Some Hollywood insiders have speculated the relationship between John and Jen was never what the press reported it to be.
John’s relationship with Jessica Simpson was chronicled completely by the tabloids including her much publicized hair dying from her trademark blonde to a dark brunette supposedly at his suggestion. Of course what happened privately between the couple may never really be known.
However, according to numerous reports, John and Jessica had a turbulent relationship and some of their fights were captured by paparazzi. After the end of their relationship it was suggested the couple have now become friends. John Mayer is reportedly a good friend of Pete Wentz who is married to Jessica’s sister Ashlee.
John also had a high profile romance with Jennifer Love Hewitt who stars on the successful Ghost Whisperer series. According to reports, John wrote songs about parts of Love’s body.
Now John is saying he’s sick of seeing his face on magazine covers related to his love life instead of his musical career. John is releasing a new disc, Battle Studies, which he hopes will redirect media attention away from his private life to his musical accomplishments.
The Daily Express quoted Mayer as saying “I really worried about the overexposure of my face and life, and was concerned if my music would still affect people,”
The singer/performer who also reportedly had a run in with gossip blogger Perez Hilton “I’ve never liked that image. In terms of the real me, the one who plays music and the other one on covers of magazines, well one of those things comes from me and another comes from other people.
“It’s nice to have full ownership of me again. I now know that I should never worry about it again. I can’t tell you the weight that’s been lifted off my shoulder,” he added.
