Lady Gaga’s wildly outlandish costumes and fun fashions has won favor with American Vogue’s famous creative director Grace Coddington.

Lady G who is famous herself in the fashion world famously showcases the looks of Alexander McQueen’s 12 inch “Alien” heels in her Bad Romance video.   You know that the folks for Alexander McQueen were thrilled by that development.

She has also been known to show up wearing cagelike headdresses and setting herself on fire…well sort of.   said of her style hijinks, “I’ve always been an outspoken and extreme dresser.”

According to various media sources, Lady GaGa appears in the December issue of American Vogue in the ‘Arts’ edition.   The shoot was styled by famed Vogue editor Grace Coddington.

She is featured alongside stage actor Andrew Garfield and model Lily Cole, who play Hansel and Gretel. Lady G was tapped to portray the most interesting character from Hansel and Gretel - she was the fabulous witch.  You know she had fun with that option.  According to Grace Coddington, it was Anna Wintour’s idea to include Lady Gaga in the performing arts issue.  A behind-the-scenes video clip at Vogue.com provides all the details.

To show her support for Vogue GaGa wore a Dior gown and a Phillip Treacy headdress with the letters V-O-G-U-E spelled out in white feathers to the shoot.  You know that totally enamored everyone from Vogue.  This juicy bit of info was provided by Vogue editor Hamish Bowle.

Grace Coddington reported that GaGa was an absolute saint on the photo shoot set.  That totally does not surprise me.  I have heard from industry sources that GaGa is a true professional and while she appears outlandish with her fashions and costumes is a joy to work with.

Apparently my sources were correct since Grace has reportedly said that Gaga was “bubbly and chatty and enthusiastic.” She also said she had an admirable willingness to be “up for anything.”

Can Gaga’s career get any hotter?  Besides appearing on just about every talk show in the Universe, appearing on Vogue, which many rock stars have yet to be offered, she will be appearing on Gossip Girl and kicking off her next tour - Monster Ball - on November 27th.

To watch the video, read the article and check out more of the fairy tale-themed shoot, head over to Vogue.com.
