Killer Hair Is Not About Hot Hairstyles

Killer Hair Is Not About Hot HairstylesThe Lifetime Movie Network from time to time catches my attention when I am scanning the TIVO or my DVR channels.    I recently caught a film with the interesting title of Killer Hair.

The movie is based on a real book by the title Crimes of Fashion by Ellen Byerrum.  The premise of both the book and the Lifetime movie is that a Washington, D.C. fashion columnist by the name of Lacey Smithsonian is in the right place and the right time to have the opportunity to fulfill her dream to be a crime reporter when people on her news beat start to mysteriously die off.  Case in point, up and coming stylist Angie Woods.

The movie is entertaining and built around solving murder mysteries which are not necessarily all the scary or difficult to solver.  However the cast is nice to look at and it’s a good premise.  My only disappointment was that wasn’t much about killer hair but there was a lot of actual killers.

The cast consists of Maggie Lawson, Mark Consuelos, Sadie LeBlanc, Sarah Edmondson, Finola Hughes, Victor Webster and Mary McDonnell (one of my own personal favorites).

Killer Hair could even be said to be a  B or C-movie version of Legally Blonde but set in fashion and journalism.
