Award winning Jennifer Hudson is expected to perform at the Michael Jackson memorial on Tuesday, July 7th in Los Angeles.

Her performance was reported today by CNN who will broadcast the service.  CNN has announced that the memorial service will include Anderson Cooper, Larry King and Don Lemon as the anchors.

It is especially significant that Jennifer will exercise her famous vocal pipes at the King Of Pop’s memorial service since she recently experienced her own family loss.

It has been indicated that Jennifer’s presence at the memorial, besides singing, is to offer comfort and support to the Jackson family and fans in light of her own recent loss. Reports of her performance have not included any specific songs she will sing.

The coverage of the Michael Jackson memorial will start at noon EDT.  It has also been reported that Michael’s death has generated a buying frenzy of his music.

It has been reported by the media that in the four days following his death, 415,000 of Michael’s albums were sold. Number Ones, The Essential Michael Jackson, and Thriller each sold over 100,000 copies and charted in the top three of Billboard’s Top Pop Catalog Album Chart. Downloads of his singles dominate the digital charts as well.

This trend is expected to continue in the upcoming weeks. Billboard reports that in the first two days of the new tracking week (June 29-30), over 110,000 Jackson albums were purchased, putting him on track for yet another week on the charts.
