Curly hair can be a challenge to keep it looking its best. If you treat your curls gently and maintain your hair’s moisture balance, then you can have beautiful and bountiful curls all the time.

Use the following curly hair care and styling suggestions with the KMS Curl Up line to create the curl of your dreams.

Step 1 -  Begin with Curl Up Shampoo.  If you achieve great results with either a pre-conditioning treatment before your shampoo or a diluted application of shampoo to cleanse, be sure to follow your best routine to achieve the absolute best results.

Step 2 – Apply Curl Up Control Creme starting at the ends and work it up the hair shaft to the root. It’s also a good idea to gently comb through your hair with a wide tooth comb.

Step 3 -  Use a patting motion to towel dry hair. Never rub your curls dry. This will aggravate the curl and cause unmanageable frizz and breakage.

Step 4 -  Always apply Curl Up Curling Balm starting at the ends and working it up to the root.  It’s important to apply from the ends because it adds moisture at the hair’s ends where hair is most dry and porous. It also helps to prevent from applying too much at the root where hair tends to become weighed down, causing curls to slump. Also, applying at the roots helps to prevent frizz and loosen tangles.

Step 5 -  When blow-drying, always use a long finger diffuser attachment, Curl Up Bounce Back Spray and your fingers to gently scrunch your curls. This will help keep your curls full and beautiful all day.

To Finish

Optionally you may also use a gel or silicone texture style creme when hair is completely dry to define and scrunch curls and to block frizz. The application of a silicone shine spray also helps to control frizz and add shine.
